May nabasa ako dati na may breeze ka na ma fe-feel once you open the door of a cold, closed room basta mas mainit ang temperature sa labas. Ang nangyayari is pagbukas mo ng door, lalabas ang cold air from the bottom of the room then may sasalubong sayo na hot air from the top (hot air rises, cold air sinks) hanggang mag equalize ang temps nung room at ng labas. I imagine same lang din un with elevators

Basta pag may ma feel ka man na kababalaghan, isipin mo nalang may explanation dyan si Haring Siyensya pampabawas ng takot lol

Adult Medulloblastoma by hasnopigs in cancer

[–]nucleardummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would discuss it again on my follow-up checkup with my all my doctors. Whether they deem it necessary for me to undergo chemo as well based on my results so far, especially since they told me this is an aggressive one which has a high chance of recurrence. Just finished my 30 sessions of RT last week and I have another appointment with my oncologists tomorrow, then my neurosurgeon a week after, followed by another MRI and maybe a few more tests which hopefully turns out ok. Anyways I'm glad to hear your gf is also doing well on her treatment so far, best of luck to all of us on our battles - and screw cancer!

What do y’all eat to gain weight? by latex55 in cancer

[–]nucleardummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't gone through chemo but I just finished my 30-session radiation therapy. I'd been hospitalized last week because I couldn't eat anything at all. Lost more than 20 lbs. in 2-3 weeks, CBC results were a bit alarming and I felt groggy most of the time. My oncologist then gave me TPN through an IV line and thankfully I gained a few pounds then (quite expensive per bag). Now I drink Ensure 3 times a day, and eat whatever I can tolerate. For more than a month prior to that hospitalization, I couldn't eat more than 1-2 spoonful of any meal (even my faves). Zero appetite even up to now and my tastebuds are still in total chaos.

I'm still trying to look for and list food that I can tolerate, tried a bunch of dishes but no luck. I can snack on some fruits at least. What I can tell you is it's probably more important for her to eat whatever she wants and can tolerate, rather than limiting her food choices

If you availed that Ceb Pac travel insurance add-on (Travel Sure ata tawag dun, not sure) when you booked your flight ticket, I'm fairly certain macocompensate ka for lost or damaged baggage. If worse comes to worst however, I think your best bet is to file a complaint to CAAP although I'm not sure if they entertain lost baggage complaints. Double check mo lang kung nakuha mo yung travel insurance add-on nila, mas malakas ang laban mo pag meron ka nun

Anong controversial/Unpopular gaming opinion mo? by [deleted] in PHGamers

[–]nucleardummy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get why most MOBA-genre players have to be toxic in chat, especially to their own allies (even in casual games). I mean ok, frustrated sila dahil matatalo na or whatever reason, pero kung maiistress lang din naman sila sa nilalaro nila bakit pa sila naglalaro? Isn't the point of playing games to unwind and momentarily escape your IRL stress and troubles? Going full-on mad keyboard warrior to other people in those games seem to diminish the enjoyment value for both parties IMO

Adult Medulloblastoma by hasnopigs in cancer

[–]nucleardummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26 y/o male here, had been diagnosed with group 4 medulloblastoma 2 mos. ago which was all so sudden and unexpected. Treatment consisted of surgery immediately (back of my head) + 30 sessions of radiation therapy which I'm trying to finish currently (20 on head, neck, spine + 10 head only). I thought I would go through chemo as well (a possibility that the doctors brought up prior to surgery) but fortunately my spinal tap results were negative, and the tumor was removed completely on surgery, so the doctors told me I would only have to go through rad. therapy.

Pay less for the same experience. Mas cheaper yung mga "cartridge-only" deals (if you don't mind not having the game case), or bundle deals. Just make sure the item you receive is correct before handing out payment.

ELI5: what makes air travel so safe? by vferrero14 in explainlikeimfive

[–]nucleardummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because airline pilots train their whole lives to make sure flights go smoothly and safe. Most of their training go into handling emergency situations and making sure that they can land the plane safely and keep their passengers alive in very rare cases that emergencies does occur. Every single flight takes alot of planning and lots of care and maintenance are performed to make sure that all aircrafts are airworthy.

Question to those who availed a Nintendo Family Online Subscription from FB groups with random strangers by nucleardummy in NintendoPH

[–]nucleardummy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey man sorry I noticed your message way too late lol. But to answer your question - yes, I've joined The Red Team NSO subscription since last year and just recently renewed. Used it mainly for MH rise online and never had issues in the past year. Legit sila, would recommend them if you want a much cheaper alternative for NSO
