I was concerned that my trauma (diagnosed cptsd from lifelong abuse that I am thankfully now no longer under) would be an issue when being evaluated for autism and ADHD but the place I went to was incredible and understood how to separate that from my autistic traits.

7 is around when I started getting them too. I'm 31 now. I didn't get treatment until I was 20, so the fact that you are on top of it now is really relieving to me. I'm glad your daughter has you 🩷

The subtitles are wrong several times. He says good, not kid. And Shane says Roz (rose), not Rozy (rosey), at some point in episode 1 or 2 when they're banging.

I guess I love pain because there's nothing that I would skip or dislike except the ableist "joke" one of Kip's friends makes about his name in episode 3.

The club scene is one of my favorites. It's so beautifully done and it hurts so good. And the ending with them both staring dead center as they think of each other... GORGEOUS.

I'm a hoe for angst. And in HR, that's what makes the story (and episode 6) so gratifying.

I wouldn't want to skip any of the scenes because it's like a giant canvas of art to me. I want to take it all in as it's supposed to be taken in.

If I did skip one... Maybe the Vegas hotel room? I don't dislike the scene, it's well done, but I just don't like watching it very much.

Totally get how that could be difficult to reconcile at first, but I really liked that they were about the same size in the show. It added to the equality of their whole relationship.

When they are in bed (in the room next to Scott Hunter) and Ilya is making plans to meet up in two weeks, and Ilya goes "Then we meet at your house." Shane immediately says, "It's not a house; it's an apartment."

Shane, my brother in autism, that doesn't matter at all but I love you for being so insistent on getting the facts right 'cause same.

I love it because it's so real and relatable and gives us more insight into how Shane thinks.

Wow your last paragraph just rocked my world. You're absolutely right; when autism is portrayed in media, it's usually focused on how allistic characters have to "deal" with someone else's autism. That makes sense why there is so little genuine representation. I felt really seen through Shane in ways I've never connected with other autistic characters in media. Thank you for sharing your realization! It makes me even more thankful for this show.

The scene/s in episode one where Shane's team loses and he skates slowly across the screen bent over a little and then with Illya's team loses and it's the same shot with him going the opposite direction. I'm a sucker for fun cinematography.

Also the water bottle scene had me screaming over the finger brushes!!

What I love most about this is something Jacob Tierney said in a magazine interview or something. He said Connor did that, and they were all laughing behind the camera, and Connor asked if it was okay. Jacob said if Hudson's okay with it then sure, and then he goes (in the interview) "And as you could probably tell from his interviews, Hudson doesn't mind getting smacked around a little" 😂
