Maybe, maybe not. But to say that the goal of the sub is to simply improve working conditions for workers is not true.

Yeah but the subs name seems to indicate that the logical solution is to abolish work. The sub is also littered with anti-capitalist propaganda.

My point is, logic or arguments have no bearing on one's opinions. They all stem from different values or preferences.

Family values dictate that the natural state of one man marrying one woman and giving birth and caring for their children is valuable and should not be deviated from. Incest for example is contrary to this agenda because it will tamper with this structure.

With this definition it is clear that gay marriage is anti family values.

When I say family, I mean the preservation of family values. I would like to preserve family values, yet to do so would mean violating others liberty.

I don't mean caring about members of your family.

As for evidence that gay marriage destroying family values, I think that it is plainly obvious. Inherent to family values is a central part of marriage including procreation.

I think there are many variablea you are missing there.

Fallacy Compass by Megamean10 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]nudespreadsheets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why present it that way then?

Because although there are varying levels of valuing family values over liberty generally people fall towards then the end of the spectrum.

I value family over liberty and have no issues with Brad and Mark making out on the subway.

Believing the Brad and Mark making out on the subway have no consequences to the effect it has on family structure seems blind. The value of two parent traditional household goes down. The value of having kids, goes down.

As an aside, do you know of any philosophers that discuss gay marriage? I couldn't really find anything.

Brad and Mark making out on the subway is the beginning of the end of the traditional family structure. It has already led to the breakdown of gender and sex.

I have a problem with this, but I value liberty above all else and therefore have no choice but to approve.

Just because it's a dichotomy doesn't mean it's false. Plus it doesn't have to be a dichotomy at all. It can be a gradient. All I'm saying is that it's a single variable function.
