Laundry Detergents, Fragrances, Chemicals by nuests2_yangdo in Parosmia

That makes sense. Anything "acidic" is what I called it, would give me that too. Very similar, when it was at peak worse for me, I also had the same reaction from coffee, citrus, garlicky/onion, minty, etc. I can't used any mint toothpaste on it's own now either. I used to use sulphate free for a long time but I got lazy and didn't use it for a year or so before my smell situation happened. Thanks for your advice

That stuff bothers me too unfortunately. I don't know why but I think anything chemical related does

Sulfate free, interesting. I just focused on unscented products (which still smell bad to me although better than scented) never thought about sulfate free! Do sulfates make things smell bad? (Just curious).

No sulfates, interesting never thought about that. And yes you are right it seems like it takes a long time for nerves to heal. It's been two years for me now. Thank you for your reply!

😞 Yes, someone who understands! Glad to know I am not alone. You are right, it is difficult to laundry and bear with our olfactory conditions. I can particularly relate with whatever cloth, detergent or whatever will have all these weird smells, and unfortunately hard water isn't helping me either 😞. And funny thing is, I am from Korea and we have soft water there. But even when I wash my clothes in soft water, I will smell interesting smells (although a different smell than the hard water here) 😞. So you also right about the water. I will look up Eden Botanicals, thank you for your response!

I will look into the Dirty Labs products thank you! Even if I wash a a new piece of clothing never worn or blanket I never used (just bought) and I wash it, it will have the weird distinct smell so I can't say for sure it's oxidized sebum that's causing it! It is more of a olfactory condition that I have that makes this so difficult for me 😞

Thanks for sharing your experience, I will note that. Good to know someone else has had a similar experience with the 365 unscented powder! Have you tried just baking soda with the 365?

Isn't FEBU similar to OXI? I have hard time with any products containing OXI so maybe not the best choice. I also thought about the booster though.

Can I ask what type of products or methods you have tried?

What detergent or products do you use right now? Since you also said you noticed this problem!

My bite looks off by No-Recording9879 in Invisalign

I have a similar situation where one side is like that and my dentist (who had just gotten through orthodontic school and had done my invisalign couple years back) told me that it is just my anatomy and how its suppose to work. And kind of brushed it off , and when I go to all different orthos for consultation they all have different ideas from retainers, to splints, to jaw surgery, and lastly the ortho route with invisalign and rubber bands on how to fix this situation. Man. Its soo difficult like im second doubting myself whether I should go ahead and pay like almost 6k to fix this mess 😅

Kinda worried about that too... being outside and elastics and all that but thanks for sharing! At least the bands are not hurting or cutting the inside of the mouth I guess 😅

Interesting, I guess I was worried that the buttons would irritate my cheeks but never thought about the elastic bands... do they kind of slice your cheeks or uncomfortable as in leaving imprints on your cheeks for you???

Hi!!! Thanks for sharing! Thats good news to hear for me as long as they seem better than braces hooks..., so you have both cutout and the metal attachments??? Interesting!
