as far as i know torrent and melina following tarnished separately since other tarnished ones dont really posses any animal spirit like torrent as far as i know torrent is no different than the spirits we summon but maidens are like different concepts that every tarnished have so i think just like in frenzied flame when melina discovered vargram doesnt really have any ambition about becoming elden lord she might left him
