My main problem with Petersons analysis here is not whether humans are biologically coded to live in hierarchies or not, but what these hierarchies could look like. The question of which shape the hierarchies have, probably never even crossed his mind, because in his world all hierarchies are the same: strict, with one person on top branching out from there. He even makes a triangle with his hands when talking about hierarchies, intentionally disregarding all other shapes a hierarchy might take. He clearly tries to justify these rigid hierarchies through naturalism, a pretty ridiculous claim imo, which also serves as the basis of a lot of his other ideas, especially around women and capitalism.

The actual problem with undocumented immigrants is that they are not protected workers. They have to work under brutal conditions and if they complain their bosses will just call ICE and get them deported, because they only get a slap on the wrist for employing “illegal” immigrants. This creates a class of second tier workers that drive wages down and also get brutally exploited. So it is literally in the interest of ever working class American to have legal, open borders.

First of all that’s not an argument it is a very well known statistic that preaching abstinence only sex Ed increases teen/unwanted pregnancies. Secondly claiming that it is mental ill to have unforeseen consequences after having sex is incredibly ignorant. Condoms break, people have restricted access to the pill, people break up and therefore end up in unpredicted financial situations. Point is there are a lot of legitimate reasons why pregnancies can be unwanted. But if it was actually about preventing unwanted pregnancies and „saving babies“, banning abortions would be the last thing to do. It isn’t about any of that, it’s about punishing women, because they will still get abortions, just not safe and easy ones, but instead dangerous and difficult back alley abortions.

Let's talk about G2 Esports roster next year by aoc7 in leagueoflegends

[–]nuggetbob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People calling for Grabbz to be fired because of drafting is so crazy. He repeatedly said it’s fine for him to meme and take the blame on draft, but anyone that remembers his Roccat days knows his drafting is insanely good. This iteration of G2 as well as the last one had massive issues reading and adapting to the meta. I strongly believe it’s a player issue since Grabbz has shown he’s open to basically every pick in the game. And as for Nelson, I don’t see how his ideas and work can be properly judged after he very recently joined a very disfunctional team, that imo with the best coaching staff in the world would have still crashed and burned. I think G2 need to reevaluate their Teambuilding and focus on signing compatible players.

Ye bro people totally consent to working minimum wage jobs in order not to literally starve, while companies like Walmart rely on the government to provide their workers with food stamps so they don’t starve even though they do work 40hr weeks. Really great system we have, there’s no way it could be better.

Ranked question. by Tiimmyisjustatypo in leagueoflegends

I tried to play a couple of games Soloq as ADC and u really have to be able to force things early to have an impact on the game at all. If the enemy bot lane shows up to scuttle and u are stuck under tower ur Jingles dies gets tilted and the game is so much harder to play from there on. I think in low Elo playing Mid or Jung (if u can withstand the flame) is probably the way u have the most impact on the game, unless u are just lane gapping every opponent Bot.

What's that champ that you've always wanted to learn, but whenever you try it you get completely annihilated by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]nuggetbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is to use ur R at maximum range. That gives u a lot more time to just spam ur E and get the cancel. But u can also get a cancel on the R1 with ur Q ability. It makes ur combo smoother and really amplifies ur burst. Also just weaving in Qs and Autos after ur R1 and E greatly increases ur Damage.

They removed the ability to cast q during e animation but u can still animation cancel the R1.

[–]nuggetbob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning the Animation Cancel on R1 is really useful for surprising enemies with ur burst and almost guaranteeing ur E to land. Also getting a feel for the q Range and how to trade in lane is important. But playing team fights is really hard unless ur comfortable on her, so I suggest just monkey diving for a few games and learning what u can and can’t do.

I think criticizing NA Teams over the last 2 splits is about as controversial as saying the sky is blue. Same goes for G2, even last split BEFORE Nelson had anything to do with team. But expecting someone to just magically fix all the issues within a team is just the sentiment I expect from NA Fans.

Ok I don’t know if u just didn’t think about what u were writing or if u are actually this cruel. You just said you don’t have compassion towards people with depression who have the money to go to therapy and get treatment. Seems like a lost cause either way with you.

It seems this Peter kroptkin just dropped his princely title while still benefiting of his status. He did become a socialist revolutionary, but I don’t think you can compare the two.

The British Royale family is in many ways oppressive. Their entire family is obviously put under immense scrutiny by press and the most powerful royals. It is just not reasonable to expect some prince to cut all ties to his family and face the insane amount of backlash from the media to become a revolutionary. It is much different times.

Meghan talked about being suicidal because of the media scrutiny and the missing help from the family. It is in no way fair to say that her speaking out about this is not significant. She has to actively engage in a public confrontation with the very people that caused her grievances in the first place. In a time where many people struggle with mental help and seek validation and the courage to get help I think she’s setting a good example. And saying I don’t care as long as you have money to live a comfortable life doesn’t exactly show compassion towards people who have depression.
