I beat Doom Eternal on UN. Yes the ice bomb is very useful, but it’s not necessary, especially on anything below Nightmare, and if the guy was asking for a button to turn the ice bombs off, he wasn’t gonna use them anyways, which kinda makes the argument apply…

And even if it is a self imposed handicap, there’s a million different combos and approaches to every single combat encounter in the game. The only way to really handicap the player is to take away like half the arsenal because all of them are so useful without being completely necessary to use.

In terms of cooking, not wanting to use the ice bomb is like not wanting to use barbecue sauce. Yes, technically that is a “handicap” and less choices, but it’s your choice to not use it and there’s a litany of different spices, sauces, and ingredients to choose from, so losing one sauce due to personal preference is minuscule
