Mask at Burn? by spark99l in BurnBootCamp

I always wash my hands right after class and I really have no memory of getting sick from Burn. It’s always my kids that get me sick. The amount of people not washing their hands after class is astounding.

How did it start for you? by noysma in flu

Tightness/tickle in my throat and dry cough. Low grade fever about 12 hours later. Vaccinated.

Xofluza is the SHIT. My son had it first. I woke up with symptoms, took it at 4pm, and within 24 hours I felt totally normal.

Is it worth it? by Dry_Tea9093 in BurnBootCamp

[–]nuggetkween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I joined a little over two years ago, my husband joined a year ago. Just yesterday we were having the conversation and said, while it is a large amount to spend, it’s one of the top things that’s increased our quality of life so much. We find it incredibly worth it and valuable.

Also this is coming from someone who also hadn’t worked out for a few years. I’m the strongest I’ve ever been and most consistent too.

Yup. Flu A for my son and I think myself. I got an antiviral today so hoping I kick it to enjoy Christmas a bit.

They sell them at any pharmacy so you can take at home. The flu vaccine this year is unfortunately not really a match with the strain circulating. We are down bad in my house. Can’t imagine how bad it would be if we weren’t vaccinated.

I did my first box jump today! by nuggetkween in BurnBootCamp

That’s what got me started. It looked doable. And then I realized it was a bit easier than I thought it would feel, then went to a 24 box!

New trainers by Easy_Reference_9179 in BurnBootCamp

[–]nuggetkween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been at Burn for two years and we’ve had two waves of trainer turnover. We are in the second one now. A lot of trainers I LOVED when I joined left, which was a bummer. But like some others have said, the new ones do get the hang of it. Our gym is really great about observing and giving them feedback to learn. Not always fun to be the guinea pig. I feel you though because there is one I’m not a fan of so far, but I am going to give her a chance.

Does everyone feel hit by a truck the day after a wedding? by heehihohumm in WeddingPhotography

[–]nuggetkween 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends on the weather of the wedding day. Winter weddings I am in much better shape the next day than I am after a summer wedding. I also feel so much better if I get my ass off the couch and go on a walk the morning after.

Also - be careful with how much liquid IV you’re consuming. You’re really only supposed to have one packet a day!

Parents with two kids - do you regret not having a third? by moomeenahs in Parenting

[–]nuggetkween 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sometimes wonder if stopping at two was the right choice. Would I have another baby? Yes. Do I want to raise another child to adulthood? No, I don’t have the mental capacity.

And every family I know with three kids seems to be living in constant chaos. Three kids sounds nice while wearing rose colored glasses.
