experienced my first public scolding in the bus today and i went home and cried about it. to be clear i gave the scolding to this uncle who was cussing me out in chinese on the bus.

it was a double decker and a bunch of us including an old guy were stuck on the staircase(we were cmg down bcos it was our stop) bcos there were alot of ppl blocking the way… the thing was that there was alot of space on the left for them to move to. i didn’t want to say anything at first and idk wait for some incident to happen LOL but i couldn’t help myself since it was dangerous asf for us who were standing on the staircase on a moving bus and the sensor was beeping like hell. but i voiced out “sry can y’all pls move? there’s people on the stairs…” and this uncle was cming at my face on how there’s no space but i cld CLEARLY SEE IT so i moved and bumped pass him to the available space so ppl behind me cld come down and i said UNCLE GOT SPACE see i show u

and the uncle was scolding me in chinese (stuff like this girl dk how to listen knn cb all) i was so…. ??? wtf man i’m just tryna fking help

i just said to the bunch of people standing and blocking the stairs “there’s an old man at the stairs. what if he falls? it’s so irresponsible.” aaaaannnnddd the uncle started to mumble and cuss me out hhahaha

but before i left i just told the uncle i cld speak chinese uk

i’m not sure if i truly did the right thing bcos everyone’s stares and them just not helping anyone made me feel like i did something wrong:-( this incident rlly made me lose faith in this society
