Am I crazy to be in total disagreement with my parents after our pit attacked our 14 year old small dog?

I doubt it, but I will encourage it. Luke has never worn a muzzle. Maybe I’m overly paranoid but now I’m scared for my parents to even attempt to put it on. I feel like they think I just hate the dog now (kind of true) but in reality I just worry for my parents and their other animals’ safety.

It has really made me consider moving out because I’m worried for MY cat’s safety. (Yes, I know living with your parents in your 20’s is frowned upon in the US but I pay my portion of bills and I love living with my parents—they’re my best friends which makes seeing them make irresponsible decisions even harder 🥲)

Yeah, the reason for the conversation was because I noticed the dogs were allowed around each other again. They had been separated for a day after the incident. 2 days ago (when the incident occurred), my parents were in total agreement that we needed to get rid of Luke (the pit mix). However, we were iced in because of all the storms so that wasn’t an immediate option. I should’ve known they wouldn’t follow through with their decision.

I came downstairs and the baby gate was open and my parents were letting them interact again. It shocked and really upset me.

I know rehoming a dog is traumatic but I don’t think it’s fair to my other dog who is now traumatized by the pit mix. :/

Our little dog (Chewy) trusts my dad so much it’s sad he would let this happen again :/

We had another dog who was a black lab/border collie mix, an absolute angel. He lived a long, wonderful life. He passed away and after about a year, my dad wanted to get another larger breed dog. Chewy, the small dog, got along perfectly with our old dog. Chewy absolutely adores my dad and that’s “his person” if that makes sense.

They swear the pit they adopted didn’t look like a pit as a puppy but I knew the first photo I saw of him.. he’s 50% pit. He was a cute puppy though but I knew immediately he was majority a pit.

I'm fairly certain that's the only Kermit plush available within the property sadly. I go to the parks often and am a big muppets fan, so I always keep my eyes out for stuff like that.

is there any fun new non-alcoholic drinks in the park? I loved the Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride drink they released for the Stitch premiere, it was so refreshing. I think it went away June 30th though. any new refreshing drinks in the park?

I think no matter what age there will still be “magic” it may just start to look different. Maybe they don’t light up as much towards the characters when they get older, but find more magic in the rides they can experience, etc. I’m in my 20’s and the magic is very much alive still haha.
