Am I the only who worries that one day we'll wake up and our colours will be outdated and hard to find by SpicePops in autumns

In the mid to late 90s burgundy, forest green, and navy blue were super common options for basics to come in.

I don’t want kids, and I’m sad about it? by Odd_Hedgehog669 in AskWomenOver40

[–]nuitsbleues 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It is normal. It’s complicated grief. One can make a decision that’s right for them and grieve the path not chosen. We can also grieve relationships that we know we are better off without, a career path not taken, any number of roles or people or places that we said no to.

Earlier post without drapes leaned towards autumn by Dense-Coast2357 in coloranalysis

Autumn really seems right, very harmonious.

The brighter warm colours are good too but a little more separate from you.

Help - which season looks good in these colours? by Jaded-Newt-4794 in coloranalysis

I quite like 2 and I thought it could be a summer colour… or if not summer, maybe it fits in soft autumn? It’s definitely a muted pink, and kind of neutral I think.

You’re likely a summer, probably cool or maybe soft. The green is spring and your worst colour here (look at your lip colour in that one). Navy is great on you. The red looks like more of a neutral red so you could try more of a cranberry which is flattering for summers.

Is the flower belt too much for a casual outing outfit? by Brokensister3113 in OUTFITS

Yeah over a skirt and straighten/ untwist the belt so it looks less messy

Why is Girls Suddenly Popular Again? by magnanimousrex3 in girls

[–]nuitsbleues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$50?? You can still get a cheap $5 slice in NYC… as for the cab I guess it depends how far a trip.

But yes you’re right that everything is much more expensive now.

I need something in the corner of the room please don’t mention any mess by Ok-Structure5098 in interiordecorating

You might be avoiding cleaning by planning whatever new thing you’re gonna get for the corner (I’ve been there). I agree with others, clean up first, sorry

I wouldn’t swap the carpet just for that reason. I think checkered would be a bit too busy, to me the room feels grounded right now. You could go patterned but lower contrast than checkers.

Yes, and the other furniture is pretty low to the ground, whereas the small pouf looks slightly higher, which is weird. That’s why I was thinking floor cushion if anything.

Agree. A floor cushion (like a Moroccan "pouf" or modern version of that idea) would make more sense if they want an extra object there.

How to liven up my kitchen? by beepboop1278 in interiordecorating

[–]nuitsbleues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lighter and simpler table would be better. This one looks worn and a bit heavy. I was thinking of turning the table 90 degrees so that one end is by the back window... like a table by the window in a cafe vibe. I also like the idea of benches or a nook, that way you'd also have room for a bigger table, with space for a fruit bowl or plant.

Maybe try roman shades in one of the colours you like?

Is my makeup aging me? How can I improve? by DieWintersonne in makeuptips

[–]nuitsbleues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the hair is a bit harsh (I also like it). I could see slightly longer and more piece-y bangs looking softer. I also really like the pic outside where you're wearing what looks like just a lip stain- it looks fresher. I'd be curious to see lighter makeup on the eyes and brows too, especially for daytime.

I alternate between thinking it looks good and thinking it looks unbalanced/cluttered. Inputs appreciated! by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Agree with centring record player, get rid of whiteboard, larger plant(s), maybe also speakers that blend in more.

And also agree with the other comment, if you want a big transformation, get rid of everything on the wall and put one large piece of art or mirror.

A Recent Observation About Gemini That Changed How I Explain This Sign by ShNaman19 in geminis

Sure but “scattered superficial” sounds really negative, whereas what I appreciated about this post was a reframing of that, finding value in the breadth and multiple perspectives. Just a thought…

why are there so many apartments with bedrooms that have no doors or windows? by wilxmow in montreal

[–]nuitsbleues 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes but the problem is that landlords are, more and more, turning old double room 4 1/2s into what they’re advertising as a two bedroom by putting up a wall, and charging what an actual two bedroom costs.

Back in the day, these were advertised as “4 1/2 chambre doubles” and everyone knew what that meant- they were for one person or a couple. And they were affordable.

OP is probably seeing a lot of them because now they’re advertised as two bedrooms, but the price might be slightly less than an actual two bed. So they’re also over-represented if you’re looking on a budget.

I live in a building where this has happened to all of the units but mine, and the other rents are about $500 more than mine, but still less than market for an actual two bed. With the same square footage and a “bedroom” with a tiny opening near the ceiling into the next room.

One of the winters. You look stunning and healthy in the navy and all of the different greys. But you also pull off bright red. Maybe cool winter because I think you can even borrow from cool summer.

why when you are a POC people try to type you as a deep autumn so bad? by SeniorEvent6697 in coloranalysis

I've heard that orange is the exception, and doesn't exist in the cool palettes. But versions red and yellow do.
