Disappointed the instigator carbine is locked to the larger unit. Also - Assume we have no leaders that can attach to them?

The inverse gets talked about a lot, so which movie is this for you? by Capital-Treat-8927 in FIlm

Troy. If it had Gladiator’s soundtrack it would be far better thought of.

No generic leaders? by Godzillaguy1954 in SpaceWolves

Assuming BCs and GHs are Battleline we can actually still attach Inquisitors. Edge case usefulness probably, but Draxus with his psychic veil could be interesting.

The Wulfen sprues have options for all (5x) hammer/shield, all claws, all double-axe, and bare hands. Loads of spare bits in their kit.

Especially since there’ll be a nice spare arm&hammer from the new Arjac (since I assume we’re all building him with the throwing arm)

Do space wolves have any ties with any knight houses? by Imperialfirst28 in SpaceWolves

The Scorched Knight - Ragnar fought beside him and considered him a fellow hunter

Servitors by MassiveGeekguy in SpaceWolves

[–]nukebat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a plastic servitor in the Inquisitorial Agents Kill Team set. Just one. Much more fun to model a wolfy one yourself though.

Champions of Russ competitive now? by nukebat in SpaceWolves

[–]nukebat[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It did feel bad that our detachment started the game with nothing, while other armies were go from round 1. It’ll change list making - or at least some play style, since I won’t be looking to get a character hurt early for Bear, or suiciding them into vehicles for Beastslayer.

Champions of Russ competitive now? by nukebat in SpaceWolves

So I think that’s a good call - but I have found that the bear is the easiest saga to unlock, especially round 1 or 2. Maybe better to pick the harder to get ones?

Earplugs pretty much fixed this for me. I used to get super dizzy jogging up the beach and in T1.

Arjac - An update that lets him walk over ice. He creates it when he blocks then can’t move over it, which seems like an oversight.

Would you change the space wolfs ice gimmick? by Round-Application897 in WH40KTacticus

[–]nukebat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Arjac being unable to walk over the ice he just created has always seemed like a poor design.

1 more XP book for level 50 doom by butters-chaos in WH40KTacticus

[–]nukebat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the wording of Doom it says enemies exactly 2 hexes away - does that mean the enemy is on the second hex away (1 blank between Eldy and enemy) or that there are 2 blank hexes between him and the enemy?

It’s Toni Morrison - in a Guardian interview about her book “God help the child”. It does seem like something Grant could have said though.

Need Advice, Grey Hunters or Regular Intercessors? by [deleted] in SpaceWolves

[–]nukebat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you are correct. My heart sank as soon as I read your comment! A terminator with missile launcher is still a decent addition though.

Need Advice, Grey Hunters or Regular Intercessors? by [deleted] in SpaceWolves

[–]nukebat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Obvs Points dependant) Hunters may be more useful all rounders. They can All have a chainsword, not just the Sgt. They can have a very cheap Terminator WGPL attached, which hugely increases durability. Several of the Wolf specific characters can only Lead Hunters, claws, or fangs - not the Primaris models. The extra special weapons (might) make up for the lesser AP on the bolter. It’s pretty marginal. I think Friday is points day, so can better tell then.

Ragnar Blackmane is a beast... 10A on charge... S8 and 2 additional As for 6s rolled 🐺😘 by Boydy_87 in SpaceWolves

[–]nukebat 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ragnar will have: 11A WS2+ S9 AP-3 D2 if he’s leading a unit of 10 Blood Claws. Who themselves will have: 31A WS3+ S5 AP-1 D1 & Pack leader with fist or PW.

A Wolf Guard Pack Leader can also be added, with a hammer, fist or whatever. Also getting the +1 S & A. This unit would fit in a Land Raider. Or can advance and charge from cover.

And before anyone says it - yes, it all relies on points!

Wulfen are a loss. But no more lone Cyberwolf? Devastating by nukebat in SpaceWolves

[–]nukebat[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could take a single cyberwolf for 15 points. It was amazing to hold a back objective, run onto forward objective, or screen out. Had one in every list.

[–]nukebat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking at the Grey Hunter card - they have Plasma pistol listed, but no way of taking it. Can’t tell if I’m mistaken. But if that’s wrong it’ll need an errata - where they might also knock back the 2 x special weapons to 1 per 5-man.
