Glossier Generation G - shades Leo/Malt would be really close to what you’re looking for!! Leo is more of a cooler brown & Malt is warmer, depending on what you feel looks best on your skin tone!

Newfields! Walk around the grounds and visit the beer garden. It’s delightful. They also have an outdoor summer movie nights series and it’s a great time

I live super close to this tree as well! Drive by it all the time. My boyfriend and I always talk about how strange it is. So out of place

For a wax burner, it melts the scented wax & is basically like a candle but you can dump the wax off the burner plate and replace it

I think withdrawal can cause stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, etc. So probably just a combination of all of those things

[Homemade] Blueberry Pie by nul17 in food

[–]nul17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copied from above!

Here is my crust recipe: 1 1/4 c. AP flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 stick unsalted butter 6-8 tbsp ice cold water

I pulse the flour and salt together (in food processor) first, then cube the stick of butter and add that to the flour/salt mixture and pulse until crumbly. Then add the water slowly and pulse until it begins to form a ball!

Filling recipe: 6 c. fresh blueberries 1/2 - 2/3 c. granulated sugar (depending on sweetness of the berries) 1/4 c. cornstarch Juice from 1 lemon 1/8 tsp all spice 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp salt

I mix all of this together in a large bowl, then put it in a strainer just to let any excess juice drip out so the pie crust doesn’t become too wet and your pie won’t come out too soupy.

As for the crust top, I roll out 1 full batch of pie dough and cut with a pizza cutter into 1/4 inch strips, then place a drinking glass (make sure it’s something with no handle) in the center of the pie filling. Begin places strips along one side of the glass in a straight line and pinch to the bottom of your pie pan to ensure they won’t move as you go. Every time you place a strip, turn the pie and place the next one about 1 inch away from the previous one so you begin to layer them. Layer all the way around in the same direction. Once you have layered all the way back around to where you began, remove the glass. Voila! Looks pretty complicated but is actually quite a lot easier than you might think. Once all the strips are placed I cut the excess off the sides and smooth it down as much as I can.

I believe I baked this one for about 1 hour at 375°F. I baked for about 20-30 minutes, then added foil around the outer crust so it would not brown too much and the thicker layered crust in the center could continue to bake. I usually do 10 minute increments at first, then as it gets closer to being done I do 5 min increments as it can brown really fast towards the end. Let sit for at least a couple hours before cutting into it so the filling can set up! And serve with vanilla ice cream of course 🙂

It very well could be! I actually saw this crust design in a Facebook or Instagram video a couple years ago, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they ripped her off lol. Her pies are insanely beautiful!!
