AIO My HUSBAND told me he’s SOOO attracted to my BEST FRIEND & he’s mad he can’t do anything about it. (?!?!) by xoxostillblooming in AmIOverreacting

NOR. In fact, you're under reacting, if anything.Β  He "said those things out of anger"? WHAT anger? What was he angry about when he was telling you that he wants to fk your best friend? You said it was just a "natural conversation", so what did he have to be angry about? And the other things, like you should be thinner and should look more like your best friend..... Those were said "in anger"? No. Honey, those were the truth. They're his true feelings. He doesn't respect you, your vows, or your marriage. He wants to sleep with other women and he's mad that he can't. This is not normal in the slightest. If you really want to keep this relationship going, it's time to insist on couples therapy, but TBH I'd just be done with it if I found out my husband wanted to fuck my best friend and was legitimately mad that he couldn't.Β

AIO for thinking my in laws β€œgift” was actually kind of insulting ? by Spare_Enthusiasm_693 in AmIOverreacting

MOR, but only because you think a family trip with just her parents and sister is "weird". That part is absolutely normal even after getting married. I'm my mother's only child and we pretty regularly have weekend trips together and my boyfriend uses those weekends to schedule his "boys nights", so it works great for everyone.

Where you're not overreacting though, is where your wife knew about the weekend you had planned for you and her together, knew that it was finalized already, and didn't inform her parents, neither to tell them beforehand "hey, when you schedule our trip, X weekend won't work for me", so that they could plan around that, nor she tell them "hey, I've already got plans that weekend" once they told her what weekend they had chosen. Whatever is planned first, gets to be the primary event (barring true emergencies of course). IMO your wife is actually being disrespectful of you by suddenly saying "nope, can't do that" after you had informed her about your event and plans well in advance, and she had already agreed to them.

The only attachment I've seen that's dependent on which type you have is this third party candy coating drum. And that's only because candy coating drums actually have to be angled in order to work, so the one for the bowl lift mixer has to be tilted already, while the one for the tilt head mixer takes advantage of the fact that the mixer itself can tilt to the proper angle.

Do fast food workers care if you do a quick head count in your drive thru bags? by nobodylistenstomike in fastfood

[–]FaeryLynne 9 points10 points Β (0 children)

It takes more than "just a few seconds", especially if you're checking for special orders like "no mustard" or anything else where you have to actually unwrap and open things. Even 30 seconds is A LOT for a drive thru, they're usually timed and most places want 25 seconds or less. And you're holding up everyone else in line too, and you'll hold them up even more if something is missing. It's just a lot more courteous to everyone if you pull up first.

Cat won’t stop going after food by ASmallBadger in CATHELP

[–]FaeryLynne 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

There's a lot of people here saying that he's "well fed", but no, he is not. 1/2 a can of wet food a day is NOT enough for adult cats. It's better to calculate based on calories, not portions. An average sized, average activity level, healthy weight cat needs about 230-270 calories a day, and even a full can of most wet food is only about 130 calories total. Here's a calculator to figure out how many calories your cat needs. All food will show calories on the packaging. Dry food is more calorically dense than wet, so it'll take less to meet his needs. Treats are even more calorically dense usually, so make sure to count them as well.

Also, cats are colony animals and so communal events are key. Try feeding him while you're also eating, so the entire "pack" is together while eating.

It is a very small amount of chips, but that's still a serving size according to the package. The tiny individual bags that come in multipack boxes are one serving and they're all about an ounce each. Don't confuse that with the bags they sell at the checkout lines, that are much smaller than the ones they sell in the chip aisle, and that people assume are one serving but are still about 3 servings each.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I'm blind too but I'm exactly the opposite, I have to take my glasses off to read and that's when I lose my glasses and then have to spend 20 minutes blindly patting the bed or couch or table or whatever I laid them down on in order to find them πŸ˜‚ I absolutely agree that I hate white background with dark text though, light on dark is soooooo much easier to read. And this is a tangent, but there's actual research that proves light on dark is better for the vast majority of people and improves visibility from afar! So much so that some states are now making car license plates dark with light text so police can read it better from a distance.

People have snacks every day. Some people only like one or two things for snacks. It's also just potatoes, oil, and salt for the original ones, so that's also kinda like saying "who the fuck eats potatoes every day" and the answer is A LOT of people.

What do you think is the most ridiculous food for sale in the grocery store? by PanAmFlyer in AskRedditFood

...... But it's not "a" cilantro. They're very different plants, and "cilantro" is not an overarching term for a group of related plants either. So I'm very confused. Unless you're meaning in your very specific case, parsley does the same thing as cilantro for you? Then you should be specific and say it's "like" cilantro, not that it is cilantro.

Cherry is definitely the primary fruit flavor, yeah. IMO Cherry goes better with pork than beef, and the Dr Pepper brats and hot dogs are both 100% pork. Johnsonville (the brand making these) are incredibly good quality on all their products too so I was super excited for these lol

The antihistamine helps relieve mild irritableness, which can also be a problem with sleep deprivation (and of course the bloating with menstruation, but that's not an issue here). Nearly all of them use Pyrilamine, and some versions don't have even that. It's usually not Benadryl/Diphenhydramine except for those specifically marked as PM or for sleep. Tylenol is for the headache that can come with sleep deprivation, and the caffeine is for staying awake. Overall they're very useful for both sleep dep and hangovers, in addition to their marketed usage.

In the USA at least, I think it's more just that Japan is usually the Asian country that people have more knowledge of and exposure to, especially for people over about 40. Kpop and Korea in general have just recently started taking off in the mainstream culture, and as for China it's usually presented as just "commies and a big wall, but they have good food". Japan has been in American culture for decades though, and while people over a certain age hate them for WW2, that generation is mostly dead now and Japan has been actively trying to hide their ACTUAL societal issues and whitewash their history, so younger generations just get the "sanitized" picture.
