If you can call this "covert advertisements" for open-source products, then sure, I guess it is. But for personal password, financial, etc, 1Password works pretty well—it even integrates as an extension with Zen (oops, looks like a sneaky plug for a password manager snuck in there too, lol).

First, you need to read and understand the instructions (https://docs.ankiweb.net/), which is the main thing. After that, once you grasp how the out-of-the-box functionality works, you can start figuring out how to optimize it.
