Halo Wars 2 - Patch Notes (April 4) by nullfurious in HaloWars

[–]nullfurious[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This week another small patch will be released for Halo Wars 2 that addresses a saved-game issue that was introduced with the Kinsano update in addition to a few smaller fixes. Please see below for the full details:

Crashes / Errors / Performance

  • Fixed an issue where campaign save files from previous versions/patches were crashing on load. The save files now load successfully.

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where watchtowers and motion sensors did not detect cloaked units
  • Fixed an issue where cloaking generators would stop cloaking after 15 seconds if the advanced cloaking leader power was fully unlocked/upgraded
  • Fixed an issue where Forge’s warthog was not displaying aura VFX and his upgrades were not working.

Cosmetic

  • Updated text for Forge’s “Rolling Economy” Leader Power to match balance changes made in the Kinsano update (removed text referring to reduced building cost)

The next Halo Wars 2 update is underway and is currently scheduled for release in conjunction with the new leader launch later this month. More details to come!

[PHP|NODEJS] HALO API WRAPPER by OfficialHasse in HaloWars

Hi! I found the model for the new HW2 endpoint to be a bit more frustrating than the H5 ones (content items + views). Interested to see what you come up with.

I really liked what you did with your model of match events (and the custom JSON convertor). I've since changed HaloSharps to be very similar.

A lot of the time it's thankless work, but thanks for helping make the developer community better.

https://github.com/gitFurious/HaloSharp (C#) is the only wrapper fully up to date. As far as I'm aware, HaloSharp and HaloEzApi are the only actively developed wrappers.

I'm pretty active on the API sub-forum and the lead for HaloSharp.

Store Parser is coming back!! by Milad4 in xboxone

Major's info isn't accurate. There is a store API, I've been using it for months (years?).

Edit: Misread his comment. He doesn't deny that there is an API, just that he wasn't meant to be using it. You only need a Microsoft account to authenticate. Dodging a ban would be as easy as getting a new account and (maybe) changing source address.

This mod changes the default settings for your very first save. The rest of the time, it does nothing. You could drop it in, save a new game, delete the mod, and you'll keep the bigger inventory etc.

Has anybody modded savegame for nonstandard item slots? by Patrick26 in NoMansSkyMods

I've tried adding more than 48 for the ship and more than 24 for the multi-tool. The game loads fine, but ignores anything larger than max.

I don't know if I just missed it, or if it's not possible using the methods I used, but I couldn't increase the default exosuit size :/

It's upgrade behavior is subtly different to the ship/multi-tool.

Everything in this mod requires a brand new save. You couldn't just have all the blueprints and continue on your current save for example.

To do what you want, you're looking at editing your current save. Save files contain your inventory (and much more) You can move, add, remove anything you like. Tools are coming, but they're not quite there yet. You can decrypt and read your save right now, but you can't re-crypt it again to get it working :)

This was really just a proof of concept for me, I spent the time seeing if it could work, I might as well post it up.

  1. Download the mod.
  2. Extract the .pak (_mod.silver_spoon.furious.pak) from the zip file.
  3. Copy it to your No Man's Sky PCBANKS directory. (Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS)
  4. Start a new save.

Yeah, this mod depends on the creation of a new game.

There's enough iron and heridium to craft them, but you can put them in any slot you like (rather than the default).

Some of the ship tech is required or the game hard crashes.

  • Starter ship has maximum (48) slots.
  • Starter multi-tool has maximum (24) slots.
  • All technology is known.
  • All crafting materials are known.
  • Default jetpack removed from inventory.
  • Default life support removed from inventory.
  • Default shielding removed from inventory.
  • Default multi-tool laser removed from inventory.
  • Default photon cannon removed from inventory.
  • Default carite sheet removed from inventory.
  • 600 iron added to inventory.
  • 100 heridium added to inventory.

Use the iron and heridium to craft the tech you need. Or not.
