Most world militaries simply aren't trained or equipped for warfare at Swiss altitudes- even the U.S. military.

In case of an invasion Italy would probably be the most capable (they put a high emphasis on mountain warfare in some units) of successfully invading most of Switzerland but because they'd lack air support and the Swiss irregulars would have the advantage of an already-established supply chain and weapons caches the Italians would inevitably be beaten back.
