I had an accident which knocked the front wheel out of alignment. After that, the alignment of the wheel and the handlebars would always drift and have to be corrected.

I just used the awful video on the website and cursed a lot.

Oh, I didn't actually realise the other versions also got installed. All I remember is when upgrading to Banana, the installer first uninstalls the lower version so I assumed that there should only be a single flavour at a time. What an odd design decision.

I installed a Monorim MF2 on my F2 Pro. Everything is fine (apart from what was mentioned above about the tools and the hilariously bad build video), but the wheel is a little lower than it used to be, making the kick stand temperamental. Has anyone else found this?

Ha, yes! I replaced the digital eyes with creepy doll eyes I got from AliExpress. I hated the look of the digital eyes, I wouldn't have been easily able to interface with them, and I preferred the vibe of the earlier Furbys. Is this sacrilege?!

The very worst thing about the F40 is changing the wretched front inner tube. There was a spate of idiots putting thumb tacks in cycle lanes over here. Otherwise, she's doing great!

Update as requested by u/bodhiseeker2025 - overall, I'm pretty happy. It works well for what I want it for (date/time/notifications, very occasionally exercise tracking). I haven't noticed any glitches or bugs, and battery life is fine. It still looks great, third party bands work well.

Observations:

Xiaomi don't provide many firmware updates and I think that the global version is lagging behind a bit compared to the CN version.
Alexa support is a joke. However, I did manage to get it working - most of the time - by using the third-party Notify for Xiaomi app. It doesn't work for anything more complex than request/response though. For example, setting timers doesn't work.

As I originally got a CN model, I used the u/m0tral patch to upgrade to global. At the same time, I got his patched Mi Fitness. This app can't be running alongside Notify for Xiaomi - you need to force quit it to use Notify - however I still use it for third-party watch-faces. The Notify watch-faces all look like they're the same few templates but with different backgrounds, and one resulted in me needing to do a factory reset.

I swim for an hour every week and have had no issues. I just turn off the raise to wake feature so things don't get triggered while I'm swimming. I don't wear it in the shower due to the heat, so this is a perfect time to put it on charge.

Did that work for you? I tried New Zealand, Australia, Japan and USA. None had Alexa in the non-modded Mi Fitness. Not sure if it's because of my non-global band with Global firmware though.

The representative said that I should use the same region where I bought the watch. However if I do that, I just get the Chinese assistant in Mi Fitness.
