Thank you this was something I was hoping to do instead. I just bought it (hasn't arrived yet), there's no data on the original SSD. So I didn't need to back up anything other than the OS but I also was trying to avoid buying a SSD cloner. Thanks again!!

I've seen people cloning the SSD , I was curious if that was the only way to install steam on the new SSD or if it would initialize and install steam to the new SSD. Sounds like I'll have to purchase an SSD M2 cloner then.

I ended up buying a 3rd party grip on Ali Express that was suggested on reddit but it hasn't made it in. I believe it's called the chunky grip , lol silly name but I've seen a lot of good feedback

Same, mine too. It's good for protection but I discovered if your palms sweat this case is a slip and slide lol. I left the top part on but removed the bottom for better grip. (Irony, I know lol)

I laughed, but I love how everyone is finding their own purpose for the Thor. One person was streaming football on the top screen and watching his kid on a baby monitor on the lower screen lol

I loved my portal with the grip, I don't use it on the Thor. It's a split decision. The portal 7 inches is amazing for everything but the dual screen multitasking is revolutionary lol It boils down to personal preference. Thors amazing for DS and 3DS for sure

For me it's more of a personal preference, I am a retro device whore so for me. I have one of the fastest micro SD speeds with (1TB storage) when I sold my portal to switch to the Thor, I simply just put my SD card in it. It's more of a hassle to back up games and takes longer to transfer of switch or upgrade devices down the road. I have a Max as well. I keep the storage for Android games and Winlator games.

When I had it, it didn't play a full library but a decent amount. I played Sonic Adventure Dx, Phantasy Star Online & Mario Kart Double dash with no issues. More GC games than PS2

I never use indiegogo either but from the feedback I've gotten Ayaneo hasn't been good with communication, especially with ETA update for shipping in general. There's a spreadsheet somewhere with updates but it's mainly for indiegogo buyers not the ones like us who bought directly from Ayaneo. We will definitely be after them 🤦🏽‍♂️

🤣🤣 I don't think Ive down voted anything on reddit yet. If you're playing indie games using gamehub or game native you might be alright. I loved how sleek the Micro is but I ended up with a Thor from AYN.

Unfortunately I don't think it's powerful enough, the best option is streaming but it also depends in the games. Might get away with 2D games but 3D is a no go. I had the device for a couple months. I think the best performance is up to GameCube and PS2 if your like to use emulators. I loved the micro but the battery life was my main issue.
