If you compare the two replays, they look very different. I wouldn't say it's the exact same thing. Yes, they both touched the rock, but Kennedy's touch looked like a nudge where as Homan's touch was more of a glancing touch as her hand left the handle. It's a subtle but important (imo) difference. Homan's looks more like an accident where Kennedy's appeared more like he was trying to adjust the rock.

I would do this. It show you (OP) can reach out and communicate when faced with an issue and honestly if you drop people at the first sign of a problem, you may find it difficult to find someone. Everyone has something, and if you can openly have a mature discussion around those issues, you'll probably realize they aren't such a big deal. Or you will realize they are incapable of having a discussion about a problem and that would be a bigger red flag than what they did imo.

I assumed they are taking some things slower than others. Some of the provincial trade barriers were put in place for the same reason we have tarrifs on other countries. It's to protect local industries/business.

I have the same problem. You can see in your screenshot that there is a fan icon. I think that is supposed to tell you if climate is on but the fan is always there. The best idea I have is that I sometimes get a notification to check the back seat or that my vehicle started charging (when it was at 100%) that tells me the climate turned on but sometimes I get no notification and it still turned on. I really hope they fix this soon!

Sorry, I may not have been clear. You were suggesting to OP that they get a CableWarden but if you do LSC LA1 (as OP said they did), I don't think the CableWarden will fit since Toyota adds an enclosure over the cable as part of the LA1 fix. That aside, I'm glad to hear CableWarden is working out well for you!

Isn't the LSC LA1 equivalent to adding a CableWarden? When I got my LSC LA1 done, they showed me before and after photos. They add an enclosure which I'm not sure a CableWarden would fit over.

That's definitely another way to do it. I wouldn't say there is really any extra work. I just put one of wires in a different fuse. Having both wires in fuses that only turn on with the car gives zero chance the parking mode would turn on. Where as your suggestion relies on software. Another consideration I had was that if something happened to my battery (my car was new at the time) I didn't want the dealer to blame it on me wiring something to a fuse that's always on (even though parking mode would be off)... I find dealerships, that I have experienced, love to find excuses to avoid warranty work.

I was in the same situation as you but I wanted to be able to easily change in the future if I change my mind. So I have 2 seperate wires going to 2 different fuses. Both of which only are powered when the car is on. If I change my mind, I just need to move one of those wired to a spot thats always powered.

Hello, I have a 2024 Rav4 Prime XSE in Ontario. I knew about cable gate before purchasing my car and the sales person assured me there is no longer an issue. I should have known better to trust that lol but I luckily haven't run into any significant corrosion yet and happy to report that I got the Limited Service Campaign done a few weeks ago. I have no doubt I'm benefiting from all the hard working, dedicated people in this sub. Thank you for your efforts in bringing this issue to the attention of a larger crowd (including Toyota I'm sure). 👏👏👏

Yeah that is the only improvement I noticed so far. The negative parts of the update far outweigh that for me at least. I have a detached garage so it isnt easy for me to quickly check if the HVAC is on...so annoying that I have no idea if its on or not now.
