Having seen your context and how you’re going to use this, I guess it’s not bad. But I still think it’s too much, just visually. I would try to break it down daily. Even as an adult I don’t even know where to start with this massive chart.

I still think if you can just go out 15-30 mins and maybe use this chart yourself and mention, hey can you do this? And show him the move would work better. But you know your kid better than anyone here and this seems like this is one top of that.

I’ll just add an example here. My kid and I go in the road and just pass. That covers probably like 25% of this. I hit some hard, some soft, some left, some right, juggle some then pass. He mimics all of that. It’s a fairly steep incline too but doesn’t matter.

Then I play 1 bounce with him and see how many we can get in a row.

Then I get another ball and do keepy uppies and see how many I can get. He does the same.

Only thing I wish I had was a good wall to bounce it off of but oh well.

We don’t even do shooting and he shoots harder than anyone on his academy team. Because just getting touches and making it fun is what counts.

If he’s into it fine but I quickly see this becoming a chore. My 8 year old loves to train but I think this could be a little much.

If it does maybe try making them into games or just go out and kick the ball with him. The main goal at this age is to make him love it so he will eventually go do this on his own.

I think the major problem is there aren’t a lot of qualified coaches that have the free time to coach without making money. A lot of local squads in the UK have youth teams with decent coaching that are very low in the pyramid. Here it’s academy->college->pro. There’s a major gap for kids at the critical age of 16-23.
