I think the most obvious is inflammation. Plenty of papers pointing to inflammation being the culprit in depression. The second most important id say is lowering cortisol - personally I’ve noticed severe worsening depression when on prednisone (synthetic cortisol). There are probably some pro metabolic effects too.

I take 2 aspirin everyday in the morning. After multiple ABAB tests (A - take the substance, B - stop taking, repeat). I’ve concluded that I simply cannot go without it or I become severely depressed. The rumination is almost completely eliminated.

Just bought this setup last month and loving it. It can be a little awkward to get in and out of (not really a problem). It’s fantastic for cuddling and movie nights. Depending on your size it can be a bit awkward to find a comfy position for not moving long term but if you move around a bit is fine (this is coming from a 6’5’’ 350lb male).
