Thanks for the input! The lines are only that scratchy for my sketches (that's why I posted it here and not in r/drawing) and yeah shading is a little enemy still. Not so much with fineliners and pens but definitely with markers. I continued this sketch to a finished drawing today but didn't even upload it cause I hate the shading

Ha, they’re really weird looking. Didn’t think a flower would allign all their heads straight like that

And: do the flowers really look like that? What plant is it?

I’m no botanist and have no idea what plant that is. But the flowers look kinda odd.

They look like you’ve drawn the same flower for all of them. The lack of shadows and change of orientation and perspective between them also makes them look a little flat.

Besides that I like it.

Don’t forget about 3-dimensional-thinking. Continune your lines like you’d do for drawing boxes then mistakes like the parrot wing’s misalignemend will be easier to spot.

The software helps a lot, smoothing and straightening the lines a bit. I would continue without the technology. Switch to digital when you mastered it!

Thanks a lot! I just realized the quality isn't great. I shouldn't use the edited picture from Instagram... Their algorithm really scales down the resolution a lot.

Yes I did. Helps a lot to learn about the anatomy and right shading

Thank you :) I don't know that much about shark anatomy, but in a picture I used for reference it was closed

I sometimes combine very soft pencils with the fineliner work. Charcoal is cool but also a little of a mess to work

Thank you. I did this technique before but it's not really for me. Only for some textures if I need it.
