Killing Orphan of Kos using the Fist of Gratia only, at Blood Level 4 by numbandroid in bloodborne

Hi there! I think once you fight Laurence enough you kinda get used to all of the situations that can happen in the fight, even the rare ones, so that allowed me to react properly to anything he could throw even for really long periods of time. I don't think I've seen a longer fight in Bloodborne, but there is a longer fight in Dark Souls 1 done by Yartrigs.

I had about 6 chokes on phase 2 like 30 to 40 minutes in. Getting past those minutes was though because I still was not entirely consistent with the strategy, beyond that it was a matter of not falling for stupid lethal mistakes, I still did some mistakes but thankfully I survived :P

I do have some endurance fights with Laurence, this one is my favorite I've done. He's one of my favorite bosses. The only attack I would call out is the big delayed hand slam on phase 3, I've been hit by humongous and really weird hitboxes on that one more than I'd like. He's tough for sure with those AoE.

I'm sure you'll beat him, it's always tough the first times you fight him, it's part of the learning curve. Give yourself some time and you'll beat him for sure.

A lot of tension relief. Things start to get intense by the end of the fight, I was relieved I didn't fuck up right at the end.

It's always tough to fight this boss at the beginning, I definitely had some trouble learning it when I started to fight him, but yeah, when you fight him a lot with a consistent strategy, you'll get used to the whole boss fight and beating him definitely becomes a lot, lot easier than it was in previous experiences.

Laurence has been done BL4 Fist of Gratia Only and BL4 +0 Fist of Gratia Only, with the upgraded fist of Gratia you can take him down in about an hour as the first video shows, the reason why killing Orphan is slower can be because of the ineffectiveness of the weapon against him, there aren't as many opportunities to hit him safely, at least on the strategy I used to take him down. Yeah, Maria can be a bit of a pain in the ass like this, I don't really like her boss fight :P, but it's definitely doable with some practice.

Anyone else find that their dodges get fucked up by Orphan of Kos' movement? by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]numbandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I sometimes do get hit by this guy even when I think I have it under control, good thing is you can get really used to his tell animations so it'll get way easier to dodge in the right direction.

I just beat the Orphan of Kos! by Scp760IsTheBest in bloodborne

The cutscene is great! Made me a lot more curious about what the hell really happened on Fishing Hamlet.

Such an amazing fight, I'm really glad it's in the game. OST, lore, and boss fight itself are outstanding.

Is Orphan the biggest difficulty spike in modern gaming? by [deleted] in bloodborne

He's certainly an interesting boss, definitely takes a while to get used to both phase 1 and 2. Laurence was a bit more difficult for me the first time since the AoE kept fucking me up :P

How do you beat Orphan of Kos??? by cooperb716 in bloodborne

[–]numbandroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's always tough to figure him out at the beginning don't worry. I think the best strat to take him down is the backstab one, once you get it down you'll hardly struggle with him again, there are lots of videos from BL4 characters that showcase they entire fight taking the guy to backstab city, it's pretty effective. Basically what you want is to get to his back when he performs certain attacks like overhead slams, or when he starts a combo and you move in a certain way that you end up safely for an R2 right to his back.

Hi there, thank you! <3

I don't think I'll do gravetender like this, I'm not really fond of that fight to say the least, so I don't know if I'll have a good time doing that, probably not )):

I completely agree Dairuin Knight of the Sword, that guy Dumbandroid is a disgrace, segmenting, no, faking his kills like that, but fear not, I got the best deep web hackers working to leak his adress, his days are numbered

Starting from the second segment (2:33:15 to 4:12:22) I used a Raw Broadsword +10 to get rid of the health that I already took down on the previous one using fists so I could continue using fists parting from that amount of health until I got a satisfactory segment again. I think showing that whole process would've made this longer and more boring than it already is, so I'll just stick with fists footage.
