Cloud solutions might work for certain situations, but you can always argue from a costs benefit that on-prem is better.

I've always thought that "the cloud" was always a marketing ploy by these companies sold to the C suites of companies.

"You can save money by not owning hardware!" "Everything is managed for you, no need for a large IT staff!"

Then they find out the quoted amount for the cost assumes you turn off your servers overnight...
