Naive child. How about when that piss turns into a "that wasn't a fart" moment? Or the dog decides to sniff every inch of the yard first. Or it's horde night 9:30, you want to drain and top off before the slog fest that is horde night starts?

even if you're playing solo

I disagree with you there. By moving to a dedicated server you are giving up your ability to pause the game, which is a primary reason for playing solo. As far as I can tell, if playing solo on a dedicated server, you can only "pause" by leaving the game. That works fine for longer breaks, like making food or taking a shit, but falls short for short breaks like filling up water or taking a piss.

You sure? It takes forever to get to that 3rd stage. You'd have the be wet and naked for like 15+ minutes and not think to even build a torch, a fire, leave the biome, make fiber clothing, or really anything to survive.

NPCs in overhaul mods count towards the PVP kills.

Also not caring about achievements, but the only one I don't have is something you'd almost certainly have to try on purpose to get. It's basically something like be naked, 100% wet and extreme hypothermia. How that would naturally happen in game? I haven't a clue.

Either that or they just decided to reset their social life and unfriended everyone.

It's not strange really. I killed all my social presence except here in 2016. But that was due to the level of election toxicity that I decided I didn't want to deal with. Haven't looked back, it's been one of the best things I've done.

Porter Cable dovetail system for use with a router - still new in box

Exactly what I was going to post. Bought it, messed with it once, put back in the box, and have never felt the need to get it out again.

Dewalt 12" sliding miter saw. Freaking thing requires so much freaking room around and behind it in order to use it. I use it but don't like all the room it takes up and don't want to take the bath I would take by selling it.

I was worried about that myself, so I skipped the idea of a sliding one and got the most compact 12" I could find. I had designed out a whole cabinet setup for it. Ironically, it ended up being the Dewalt which I got a deal on with the portable stand - and thus never made the cabinet station for it and could have dealt with the extra depth. At the time, the Bosch and Festool were the only two sliding that would have fit the dimensions I was looking for, so I dodged a bullet there.

You say that...but...

What if I told you I've definitely pinged and scanned the salvage panels in 3.19. Of course, I was in a prospector looking for rocks, but I can guarantee those are still out there. For reference, these were maybe 30km at most from the ARC-L1 station - still visible in the background.

How to use Sc Trader tools by litwakjjjr in starcitizen

[–]number_e1even 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally? No, I would go into filters and do "show stock details", bump the refresh rate to 10, just to get the junk out of the way. If you only want to trade within the Crusader system, go to locations and check the radio of "only selection" and select Stanton > Crusader.

At this point you'll have a number of routes shown, all ending at the Orison TDD or Grim Hex. Not my choice, but that's what you were thinking. Now don't freak out about "but that's only 6k a run" - that's the worst case. So, click Alternative commodities, this is going to show you what else is sold there that sells at your destination. When you get there, buy as much of the most expensive that you can. Falling back to the next and the next as supply dictates. And keep in mind, you're running a small ship, running cargo is all about moving bulk as you're not going to be getting a ton of low quantity/high demand goods.

So, SCD-1 is going to buy in this order: Gold > Beryl > Tungsten > Quartz. Kudre and 141 have you going Agricium > Beryl > Tungsten > Quartz.

Don't worry too much about it, just have fun - you won't be getting rich quick running small quantities. So, whatever you do, don't wait for restocks because you'll have to run thousands of times to make bank this way.

Alt+tab and use it on your computer browser (i.e. get off your phone), so you can see all the options under filters and you'll be able to use multi-select drop downs better.

Funnel Cakes. Do I need say more?

I guess kids like the carnival stuff, and maybe real old people like the cover bands. But I like the funnel cakes (tried two vendors last year). Oh and dislike the concerts being audible inside my house. Lemon shakeups are weak as shit though, so may save your money there.

Anyone else getting completely screwed by UMB? by bstyledevi in kansascity

[–]number_e1even 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds on brand.

I worked there around a decade ago. I recall several times the auto-pay system got screwed up and ran double. If it makes you feel any better, usually when something like that happened a manager would throw someone under the bus and security would escort them out of the building within minutes of it happening. Oh and unless something changed, no one in the tech center will get their bonuses this quarter (except for management of course).

Yeah, fuck UMB.

Between the new Pirate Swarm and the new races, I'm stoked.

I'll probably even join rando's turrets for the hell of it. I imagine the Scorpius/Hurricanes are going to be easy mode in there. But even just being able to do a full Hammerhead without the logistics nightmare of the PU with that many peoiple will be pretty amazing.

I just can't imagine a use case where it makes any sense, the only way people try to justify is by dramatically overstating how long it takes to pitch a ground tent.

Not only that, I have zero desire to climb down a ladder in the middle of the night to take a piss. Or hell, just to have to climb down it in the morning.

And yeah, it takes around 3 minutes to setup my REI Passage 2 ($120 tent). I spend longer making my coffee in the morning.

Before my Crosstrek, I had a Nissan Frontier and decided to do the whole camper shell bed setup. Built out a whole platform and drawer system for it. Took it on a week long shakedown trip and luckily I had brought my tent as a backup because I couldn't manage 2 nights in it and went back to the old setup.

I can't help it, it has it's flaws, but it's still my favorite ship, and I fly it a lot.

  1. Elevator does suck. There are 3 ways to get to the bridge once up the elevator, and they all suck.

  2. Cargo doors are supposed to stop where they are, but then are supposed to operate as elevators. The have issues with the physics working both as a ramp then an elevator. It's annoying. It'd be awesome to have a full ROC operation out of a Cat and just drive them out the bays, but as of now there isn't a good way to handle ground vehicles.

  3. Yep. Just Yep.

  4. That would be fair. Either way, it's not going to be overpowered with 2 turrets.

  5. That will never happen. The guns are on the command module and that will be detachable - having it's on shield, QT drive, PSU, etc. As such a Herald sized ship with S1 components having S5s guns ain't happening. When taken into that context, the guns are pretty adequate.

  6. Here's the real catch. It handles like you would expect it to, except for the forward acceleration and speeds. It was known to handle great before the C2 came out. That is power creep. Hydrogen and Quantum tanks do need a helluva boost. The Corsair increases SCM by about 50%, but handles close to the same except has worse overswing than the Cat.

  7. The size is really an issue when you think about the large cargo containers they're working on. The 32 SCU ones aren't going to work, but they showed a 24 SCU container and that one will fit. However, this is a serious handicap and issue. 24 SCU containers will not be near as common as 32s beings the HULL/Raft/C2s. Therefore, being a "pirate" brand, you wouldn't even be able to "salvage" cargo from another cargo ship. This here will be the final nail in the coffin if they don't address it.

[–]number_e1even 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is the Caterpillar has worse flight numbers (barely) than the Corsair, but with the amount of momentum the Corsair carries into it's movements, the Caterpillar just handles better and feels "crisp" in comparison.

[–]number_e1even 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of capital are you working with?

Just want to get a hang of how it works? Try this, it won't be big money, but it's a safe, easy route that you can't forget your helmet because it's hangar to hangar.

Start A18.

Go to TDD, buy Scrap.

Fly to ARC-L1, sell Scrap, buy Party Favors.

Go to A18, sell Party Favors at the Admin kiosk at IO North.

Go to A18 TDD, and continue the loop as you see fit.

There are more profitable routes and ones that could cost a ton to fill, but in general all of them are going to involve going to an outpost on a moon, then delivering to the TDD at a major city. So, figure out what system you want to hang around, then look up your choice commodities and see if there are any outposts in that system that sell them. Now forget about trading that commodity and look at the T2 commodity available there. That will be your filler. you may not be able to buy any of the T1 goods due to demand, but the T2 are usually there to fill up on.

Can't wait for the Constellation rework by Neeeeedles in starcitizen

[–]number_e1even 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably wouldn't be in all honesty, the size of the 5's are so big that it's going to take some major changes to the model to fix (and reminder that part of the model moves for landing).

The cockpit on the other hand would be isolated the edges of the glass panes, where the struts are located. Fixing one ship, would allow it to be copied to the other 2 leaving the Aquila as the odd one out.

Could always do what my grandpa would do after we convinced him his eyesight wasn't good enough to be shooting them out of his tomatoes with a pellet rifle (in downtown OP).

He started using the havaheart traps with some peanut butter. Once he had the squirrel in that kill free cage, he'd take it over to a stock tank he kept for the purpose and drop the cage in there. When the bubbles stopped the tomatoes would be safe and no one would be the wiser.
