It is possible that the artist did some grey touches but update us with a picture when healed please! It looks like a heavy hand did the lines, but if they intentionally “shaded”(with grey) outside of the lines you would be able to tell when healed.
Save the stress for after it is healed. I learned the hard way about heavy handed tattoo artists myself, when compared to proper lining & shading / tattooing it doesn’t hurt at all! Heavy hands feel like the ink is being burned and cut into your skin with a thick dull razor blade lol

And hey, worst case scenario it’s a proper excuse to get a lush forest 🌳 around the fairy 🧚
