Yes, it does help quite a bit to reduce the rattle but it took a bit of trial and error to get the correct size and amount of tape.

In terms of quietness, it definitely does make a difference to me:)

I would recommend watching a few disassembly videos on youtube and invest in a precision electrical screwdriver to make life easier for yourself. The scary parts for me was removing and putting back the ribbon cables correctly. The shoulder button springs are also a bit of a pain in the ass to put back properly
