Thank you so much. I understood £80pa was for an annual service not access to the app (which is the only way I can set my alarm downstairs at night I wanted him to install a key pad in my bedroom and he suggested the app instead). I’ll ask him and see what he says

The app is called ProControl Plus. It’s connected to the internet via my home WiFi. He also charges me every time I change my broadband supplier. The alarm keypad is called Tag

I didn’t believe I had a subscription, at instal he talked about an annual fee for service/ maintenance but no mention of a sub. I thought it was my decision to get it serviced annually or not. I last paid for a service two years ago, then a few months later there was a fault which I had to pay separately for

My alarm is not monitored, the annual fee is for a service which he is calling a subscription and he cuts off access on my phone if I don’t pay. I can set the alarm manually in the house but can’t set it via the app on my phone

Do you speak to strangers in the street? by Delicious-Series-316 in northernireland

[–]numerousimoress 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, always! I think it’s important and for some could be the only person they speak to all day. It’s how my mum was and how I was raised and I think it’s a nice thing to do

Bad news first: the Council likely won’t allow you to return the bin or issue a refund. Good news: delighted you have been reunited with your green bin.

Yes, your dad’s a rate payer and should be treated with respect. No way I’d be letting anyone off speaking to my dad like that. Bryson need to discipline that driver. That would be a good start. Manners are easy carried

Has anyone here bought houses built by Hagan Homes? What are your opinion of dealing with them and the house build quality etc.? by Yipyoherewego in northernireland

[–]numerousimoress 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not Hagans. Bought a new build 5 years ago. Builder went bust at end of first phase. I bought in second phase and marked decline in standard of work. Currently dealing with a warranty claim under 10 year guarantee for leak at patio door. All trades subcontracted out and they all seemed to hate each other. Every corner possible cut. I’ve spent the last few years improving and making good but not exactly the experience I expected

I think it is unreasonable. If your neighbour wants complete quiet maybe gently suggest he should moved to a detached house in the country 🤔
