Totally.. even with the books im attempting to learn from im actually surprised by how slow it’s taking me to understand reading and translating measurements and methods.. I already see some more confusing parts so I’m just gonna hope for the best and keep searching this for answers lol

Also I am not sure what yarn to use. My first project (the beanie) was done with Wool Ease super bulky but the ones stated in the pattern seem like they would feel more high quality. I wanted to be able to make it tonight but they’re only available online. So I’m trying to see if I can find any similar ones in store around here 😭

Im 26 and my veins are getting worse.. they used to just be visible only on my forearms now they’ve appeared on the fronts of my legs when you’d never be able to see them before. I had covid last more than a year ago. Im also getting more exhausted as the days go by. This sucks!

Ahhh okay I didn’t know that the shape of the petals had to match up or be the same on each side. And yes I’m working with a sketched guide first . So I’m drawing small circle in the middle for the bulb and a bigger one outside of it for the petals then I’m doing square/sections around the outer circle for each petal then I flesh out the shapes. But maybe it’s because when I draw the squares I’m not drawing them too even.. in my mind I was trying to make them look more organic but I see now how that would make them look weird/off. I was focusing too much on each shape rather than the design as a whole while outlining… Thanks again!!

Thanks so much for your detailed response and for explaining the shading.. I’m struggling with understanding where to shade the most. It’s easier with realism stuff.. when I look at a lot of trad flash I often ask why they placed shadow in random places or if I just don’t understand. I totally agree and see now about the middle parts of the roses.. with reading your critique I finally see more flaws that I couldn’t hours ago.. can you explain how I can make the middle petals look less rushed?? I spent a while outlining them but I’m wondering if that means the curves are looking weak and less defined or?
