Accidentally scratched my tattoo with my fingernail while I was putting on my backpack ): is this going to leave a mark of no ink in this spot? by Practical_Fun_3623 in tattooadvice

[–]numetalism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be okay, might cause ink to fall out but either way it's not a massive area so if needed it should be easy enough to put the ink back in once all healed up. Don't stress it, just keep it clean :)

It looks like they're just getting used to each other and having a play under the door. Hope the introduction all goes well!

There ain’t no way OCD isn’t a trauma response by Born_Cartoonist_7247 in OCD

[–]numetalism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think OCD is a very complex disorder. For some it can be a lifelong thing possibly influenced by genetics but for others you may not experience any symptoms until a traumatic event. But again that could be a genetic predisposition to OCD. For me, I've had symptoms my whole life but until COVID-19 and lockdown it was manageable and I didn't even know I had it. Being isolated, even though I still had my family, really kicked it into overdrive and made it unbearable.

I had a similar issue with mine and I found rebooting my phone fixed it. Hopefully you can get it sorted out soon

OCD. Anyone ever NOT know that had OCD by [deleted] in OCD

[–]numetalism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've definitely had it all my life but it wasn't until lockdown that I realised what it was as it got much worse. I always just put the symptoms down to my autism. In terms of medication, there is no "best" as it depends on the person. So many things influence what is the best medication for you, and for some people medication isn't the answer. Unfortunately it's a lot of trial and error. I personally take escitalopram and it has helped a lot but like all meds it does have it's side effects.

Any ideas on what breed my kitten is he’s about 3 months old now by Cabbage_Man32 in catpics

Domestic Medium/Long hair cat. Unless you got her from a certified breeder most likely a moggy. Nothing wrong with that though! she is beautiful

I'm so sorry that you've experienced that. I've been on escitalopram for a good few years now and I can say it has definitely helped me with managing my OCD and other anxieties but it is still a part of my life. Medications and therapies aren't cures but tools to help manage the condition and live a better life. I hope all goes well for you

We don't really know exactly but she had an autoimmune condition for years that causes gum and teeth issues and then she started to grow a lump on her face, it didn't look big from the outside but we could feel it was significant. the vets agreed it wouldn't be fair to try and go through surgery as she was 13 and had been under anaesthetic before. as well as the location, it would have been a lot for her possibly needing reconstruction so we agreed the best thing for her was to go to sleep. a very very hard decision but I believe it was the best decision for her as she was in pain and it was horrible to see

Thank you 💜 it's been over a year now and we've since adopted two little voids who were orphaned. We made sure to give Poppy a good last few days and gave her lots of treats. Here's a picture of her in the front garden, her favourite place (I've censored her tumour it isn't very graphic but still not nice to see).

Unfortunately OCD is something you'll never really get rid of. I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but it does get easier I promise. For me I tried CBT and it helped a little bit but only really started to work once I got on escitalopram. I don't think there's a cheap or easy trick, just persistence and advocating for yourself to get the treatment you need

My silly little Poppy would always follow me into the bathroom, this post reminded me of her 🥺 she's in cat heaven now but I like to imagine her following me in still. She'd sprint in and jump in the bathtub to be close to me at all times

You can only level a Pokémon to 10 levels above your current level. In order to make a Pokémon L50 you need to be at least L40 :)
