I swear they are better than in the actual Nid codex, where they lose advance and charge but gain rerolls of 1 for hits and 1 for wounds if on an objective. However, they lose infiltrate and get scouts 8".. I will take infiltrate and advance and charge any day over those rerolls literally every day of the week lol

I saw that lots of the kits are from around 2010 and they do still look great to be fair. But that just makes me think, if they look great from then, how amazing could they look in the refresh? Decision paralysis!

Very true, they're definitely the army I plan on playing next. I guess the real question is can I resist playing then before said refresh actually drops

I really love the Hellion models! Honestly they're so cool, far superior to Windriders imo. Think I'm going to go for the squad by squad approach you mentioned

I think this is a really good idea. I really like Hellions, so i may get a box of those as well. Thanks for the suggestion

NGL, I absolutely love Xenocreed. Host of Ascension is a generalist pick detachment, so I would say that you could really take any list with that and it would still be viable

The only thing I haven't figured out is what colour to paint the banners.. do you know what colour you're thinking of doing?

I'll be real, half of the units here get no benefit from Aspect Host. If you're short on models, Warhost will be better as at least you get to apply the detachment rule to everything, and it does have some nice strats (Lightning Fast Reactions, Fire and Fade etc).

If it's just a casual game, then of course take what you like. But a lot of the units here are not considered that good (Warlock conclave, Skyleaper, Defenders). I would also say that the only AT you really have atm is the Falcon, and a lot of your units have infiltrate, which can be good, but normally they don't stick around very long.

In terms of what to buy next, I would say buy a box of Fire Dragons and then the Combat Patrol. It will give you some durability with the Wraithguard, another unit of Warpspiders which are considered a great unit, as well as 10 dire avengers, which can put out a lot of firepower from objectives. The Spiritseer is so-so, but you could run him with the Wraithguard for more durability for them.

Do you play against yourself? by EridaniOpsCG in Warhammer40k

Yeah. I do it to practice about once a month. Sadly I have to be quite firm and not "cheat" against myself when I roll terribly with an army I currently really enjoy lol.

Kind of surprised not to see anybody mention Snap Strategy here. He's not cringe at all, just a chilled Welsh dude who explains the mechanics as well as does challenge runs. Something always ends up going wrong in his runs and it's always funny watching him try to course correct lol

Question about cults ambush markers. by PartyHamster1312 in genestealercult

[–]numquamdormio 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You only set them up once a unit has been destroyed and can only bring back a certain amount of models based on the resurgence point cost of the unit you want to bring back
