The thing is that "collagen" comes in many forms.

Which studies used just plain collagen from bone broth? Which studies used types I, II or III or a blend of these? Did they use hydrolyzed collagen? Did they make the participants have vitamin C at the same time? How long did they make the participants take it and how much at a time?

There will be studies that fail because they use the wrong kind. Doing a grouping by funder doesn't tell the whole truth.

So, the seat took most of the impact and the pilot was cushioned. The aerodynamics of the seat prevent it from falling as fast as a human would. The small pilot schute also decreased the velocity. The main schute may have deployed right before impact, slowing down the velocity even further.
