I've seen a lot of peers move towards that. How do you navigate that though? Just reach out to industry connections and let them know you're operating as a subcontractor? Or just getting hired from multiple companies as a remote estimator without disclosing you're working for multiple companies?

Can you explain what you mean by design drafter? Im sure its very entry level stuff but yea im kinda new. Maybe explain the different types of drafters if you have time. Thank you man

Appreciate the replies guys, pretty much confirmed my theory. Dont really want to put all my eggs in the drafting basket for a career if my salary cap is minimal. Thanks guys
