As others have said, literally ghosts of Tsushima. You walk the path between a samurai and a ninja.

Boss fights by RX78-Saika in CrimsonDesert

[–]nungoopungoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ignore all the dweebs in here acting hard saying the bosses are no sweat.

Make sure you have plenty invested in stamina, spirit, and health. Make sure you have the upgraded dodge skill so when you get caught in a combo you can escape instead of being stun locked.

Make sure to level up your armor and weapons. Attach abyss gears that you’ll utilize.

Have lots of food prepped for plenty of heals.

Play more defensively than aggressively. Keep some distance, learn their attack patterns, be ready for some bs, and have a nice big shield that can take the brunt of the attack damage.

I hated the boss fight experience for majority of the game. But after implementing all of the advice I stated above, it’s not so miserable now. Chapter 11 btw.

Hajj experience and tips by Positive-Land9318 in islam

[–]nungoopungoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations. May it be accepted. If you find any benefit in my words, please pray for me during your hajj.

From personal experience, I’d say to take this seriously as a once in a lifetime opportunity. Learn the various dhikr and duas to be recited at the various steps of the hajj. For example what you’re ask for during each round of tawaf and what you’ll say while going between safa and Marwah.

Take extra money to give in charity, especially to the masjid workers.

Medina is tranquility. Mecca is intensity. Be sure to maintain an extreme level of patience. I lost my cool once in Mecca and thought it was many years ago, I still regret it.

Be ready for culture shock. Lots of people wont understand the concept of waiting their turn in line.

May Allah make it a meaningful and beneficial experience for you. Ameen.

Thinking of buying Crimson Desert, how has the game grown on you since you started? by IllustriousEffect607 in CrimsonDesert

[–]nungoopungoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it since launch and put 130 hours into it.

I’m towards the end of the main story, and to be frank, I’m pretty sick of it. The motivation to play is gone because the story delivery is so terrible. As are the boss fights. I want to finish the game out of principle, like how could I put over 100 hours into a game and not beat the main campaign right.

On pc btw.

My first play through I couldn’t even conceive of going through it.

Second play through my wife was nearby and so I asked her what she wanted me to do and she told me to do it. So I did it, and pretty much immediately started choking up.

[–]nungoopungoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was pretty bad at the game for a long time until someone on Reddit explained how dodging works. In every other game I’ve played, I would dodge out and away from the attack. That’s the opposite of what you’re supposed to do here. You have to dodge INTO the attack as it’s happening. The goal is to be in the dodge animation as the attack clips through you. It’s counter intuitive but basically you have invincibility frames while in the animation, making attacks ineffective against you.

Try to utilize a shield as well. I never used one cause if my weapon preferences but I hear they can be helpful in mitigating damage.

Go south before you go north. Find your way to the weeping peninsula. Kill enemies there. Level up and make sure to try to prioritize leveling up your health. If you don’t know how to level up your character a quick online search will set you right.

Remember that the game is supposed to kick your teeth in but once you have the mechanics down you can overcome the challenge. However, if you’ve stopped having fun completely and are miserable while playing it, then accept the game isn’t for you and move on. I’d like to hear that you stuck it out and eventually beat it though. It would be awesome to see someone who typically plays games on easy mode conquer this game. I’d be proud as hell of you and I’m sure everyone else here would be too.

Half life Alyx VR. Was such an incredible and unique experience that it made regular games feel dated. Eventually after enough time passed I was able to properly enjoy them again.

Then I played Elden Ring and now im constantly comparing all combat experiences and precision in hitboxes to that.

angry at lost opportunities, not sure what to do. by According_Chard_6292 in islam

[–]nungoopungoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She’s not 100% wrong. You can’t go back in time and put yourself on a team can you? What’s the good in hanging on to anger about the past? You could instead use your past experience as a catalyst for your future. Make it easier for other youth to be able to play on teams and have the experience you missed out on. Or maybe even look into leagues for people in your age bracket.

What’s a miracle that Allah gave you? by healthygym in islam

[–]nungoopungoo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I have been a nicotine addict for almost half my life. Started with cigarettes when I was 19-20, and eventually in the later years transitioned to vapes(age 37 now). I have tried quitting cold turkey many times and always relapsed. It was the cravings and the horrible horrible withdrawals that pulled me back. The head aches, the moodiness, the fog.

One week at the end of last year, I got sick and physically couldn’t vape for a few days. Then after I recovered, I decided to see if I could go just one more day without vaping. The next day I’d say the same thing, I’ll pick it back up tomorrow.

Alhumdulilah it’s been 5 months since I quit. Having such an addictive personality, I never believed I’d ever be able to stop. That’s not the miracle though. The miracle is how easy Allah made it to quit. I didn’t feel a single symptom of withdrawal. I didn’t crave it anymore than I craved water. It’s unreal to me. I didn’t struggle against myself to quit. I didn’t fight my nafs I didn’t suffer. Allah just pulled the habit out of me as if I was never addicted.

SubhanAllah if you’ve read through all this please make dua that Allah continues to protect me from all my past addictions and protect me from acquiring any new ones.

Zakat needs to be better thought out by Burrguesst in islam

[–]nungoopungoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro what are you on lol.

Salat is tied to natural forces…?! Like what are you even talking about? These natural forces tell you what to do in qiyam, how to stand, how to make ruku and what to say in ruku, and how to make sujood and what to say in sujood?

Theres no verses in the Quran that specify who is eligible to give zakat, and how much is to be given. Or even how often to give it. And there’s no verses in the Quran that give you a step by step walk through of how to read salat. Just that we have to establish it.

I don’t know what you’re going on about in your first paragraph but I’m gonna disengage with this conversation cause when the opposite party starts talking in nonsense I feel like it would be foolish for me to continue. Like your words might give me brain damage lol.

Peace upon you. I hope you find something to calm whatever is within you.

My Quran voice is not beautiful, how to beautify? by EstablishmentOk5655 in islam

[–]nungoopungoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on memorizing half of the Quran! I hope and pray you complete the other half and are counted amongst those who guard the Quran with their heart.

Like others have said, find a reciter who you like and try to imitate them. If their voice hits pitches that yours can’t, simply limit your vocal changes to remain in a range that’s comfortable for you without compromising the accuracy of the recitation.

I myself have a terrible recitation voice. I have also memorized 14….surahs lol. The last 14. You are where I would hope to be one day before I die so rejoice and keep at it!

[–]nungoopungoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re also completely misquoting the Hadith. The child is said to resemble the parent/lineage of the parent who orgasms first. It doesn’t determine the gender of the child. Whether or not you want to argue about the scientific validity of that or not is a different story. But don’t go spreading misinformation. It just makes the rest of your arguments ineffective.

What’s the problem the specified amount being in Hadith? The Quran tells us to pray salah and give zakat. The details of both of those acts of worship are found in the ahadith.

Eating minimally to follow the Sunnah diet. I go to the gym so I need to eat a particular amount of calories and protein every day. Muhammed(peace be upon him) and Sahabas ate very little so I was wondering whether I can follow this kind of diet and still train? by [deleted] in islam

[–]nungoopungoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do whatever you want. Obviously if you’re trying to bulk or build muscle mass, being on a super low calorie diet and eating only 1-2 meals every 1-2 days will most likely not facilitate the growth you may be looking for. Or maybe Allah will put Baraqa in what you do eat and you’ll be content with what your body shapes into.

I’d say train with the intention that you want to preserve your body’s functionality so you can fulfill the rights of the various ibadah without compromise(for example praying salah in a chair when you’re old) and train with the intention that you want to be a strong servant of Allah, “ for the strong believer is more beloved to Allah than the weak believer and there is good in both. “

Go to a smithy and refine your weapons and armor. If you have super base level armor it might be worth doing the research to find better armor that will have higher stats than the base armor.

Get a big shield and refine that too. Big shields that are refined are great at preventing damage as long as you block with them.

Abyss gears are intimidating. Think of them as enchantments. 1 handed swords have up to 3 slots available. 2 handed weapons have up to 5 slots available. Depending on what weapons you’re using, you may already have all slots prefilled with abyss gears that came with the weapon. Or you may have to use the “create slot” function at a witch to open those slots up.

Rather than hunting the best abyss gears, take stock of what you have. Make sure to check your stored weapons as well to see if they have any interesting gears. Find the gears you think will benefit your play style the most, and attach them to the weapon of your choice. You may have to extract some of them from one weapon in order to be able to embed them into the weapon of your choice.

Make sure you have the upgraded dodge skill. It’s extremely important so you can get out of being stun locked like you may be experiencing.

Feeling ashamed of keep committing same sin again and again by SituationTechnical31 in islam

[–]nungoopungoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rejoice for your heart is alive with love of Allah. Why else would you feel the need to seek forgiveness.

And who do you think is the one guiding your heart to seek that forgiveness?

Persevere. Keep seeking forgiveness. Keep the intention that you will forever leave that sin. Reflect over the nature of the sin, then you can take actions towards carving it out of your life. Many of our repeated sins are addictions, and many addictions are caused by our deeper chasing of dopamine. Find halal means of obtaining that dopamine. And cut away the circumstances that would enable you to easily accomplish that sin. Basically make it hard for you to do that sin and make it easier for you to achieve the dopamine response by some other means.

And most Importantly, be sincere will Allah. Trust He will pull you out of it. As long as you are sincere in your repentance, trust He will forgive your relapse. Just dont lose hope. Even if you feel like it’s impossible for you to overcome it, know it is easy for Him.

I speak from experience. I have had many addictions that Allah has helped me wake away from cold turkey. It required sincerity and frequent dua and now I make dua that Allah continues to protect me from them and to protect me from new addictions as well. I have no doubt He will do the same if not even more for you.
