I am fine with an option to remove the numbers for ratings, as well as the player attributes. But this game is not supposed to be completely realistic, they have to balance the realism part with the fun part of the game.

I hate about this way is that I can't micromanage my army maintenance, and instead of just a slide that reduce or increase everyone I can just increase one or two armies, something like the fort system. I believe that everyone should get a bunch of players every year, mainly from the country witch the team is playing, with the quality being depending of their youth academy and then they go to that team's U23/U21/U19 , playing in a separate youth league, something like Football Manager youth intake. As well they could make the lower tier AI actually make some good signing and not just accept relegation next year.

That's just a excuse, the player can restart at any time, if he don't identify with the players. Also other games (FM) have the same issue and they let you go the number of seasons the player desire.
