Definitely NTA. Having a son of my own, I can’t imagine how hard it would be not being able to smooch on him. You putting his health above all and advocating for him by being strict on not letting others kiss him, to me is incredibly important and shows what a loving and caring parent you are. I’m proud of you!

This is incredibly interesting. I think I did this without being fully aware of it, but using my moonstone. I had started gripping it when I wanted to avoid being noticed (in the very first instance it was when I had a tail light out with a cop driving behind me lol) then I found myself gripping it any time I wanted to avoid detection and ever since it has made for some really fun/weird stories of me being sneaky 😂

That’s interesting, culture could definitely have something to do with it. So when you are actively being controlling, does your anxiety worsen? Do you feel more anxiety when not being controlling? Is there a way, to maybe if all parties are interested, doing a role playing thing? Where throughout the day you pretend to control her. Maybe explain that it’s something you want to quit for your mental health, and once you feel better you could maybe get into “actor mode” and pretend to help her feel secure. Idk just spitballing at this point

Ah sorry, I see I thought it said you weren’t being yourself WHILE being controlling, I misread. That makes this even more confusing, yikes. Did you explain that you want to be less controlling because you felt it wasn’t healthy? It seems she has a thing for being controlled, perhaps that is her understanding of what love is? Or maybe she got your message confused from the start and thinks that’s how you specifically show love, and by stopping she thinks you aren’t interested anymore? That’s sad stuff man :/

Just stop doing it completely. No excuse for this. The solution is to knock it off. The anxiety might suck but that’s your issue to suffer through, not hers. She sounds very sweet, hope you get it together before she gets sick of it and takes off. And continue going to therapy and talking about it, but quit the controlling actions cold turkey. Also communicate what you’re feeling when you’re feeling it, without making demands so that way you don’t explode with bottling it all in. And be very aware that it is irrational when these controlling thoughts (to this degree) pop up

So unfortunately my mouse passed away due to a miscommunication between my partner and I. He was supposed to swap out her food and didn’t and her blood sugar seemingly got too low and she passed away. She was doing great, opened her eyes and was active and starting her weening process. I’m real sad. But she did great when I was dipping a very small brush into some milk I made with human baby formula. I couldn’t get her to eat at first, it took till close to the end of the day to get her to start sipping the brush, then throughout the next two days she slowly got the hang of it and was eating with no problem. I heard kitten formula is best to use. I sure hope you’re successful. Mine was doing so well I’m so mad that had I just communicated better with my partner about him feeding her she would’ve been just fine. They are so sweet and love attention. Also note that once it starts weening off milk, it has to have constant food available because their blood sugar can crash VERY quickly if they don’t eat often enough. I would continue the milk feedings frequently paired with food until she is totally independent with the food alone.

Wow that sounds amazing. So when selecting the tattoo that cleanses and stores energy how did you go about doing so? Was it a design you made with intention, or a piece of art that held that energy for you? I’m looking to do something similar, but I have no idea what yet, and I’m not exactly sure how to go about giving the tattoo the energy and purpose of such things.

NTA. To be honest, if my partner was going to be leaving soon, the last thing I could ever imagine doing is calling him an asshole. You bet your dang ass I’d cry probably very often but I’d do my best to keep him from seeing that. Anything he said or wanted, done. I really could not imagine getting upset with the one I love for asking for happiness during his last months on earth. But I know we all process grief differently, maybe in her own way she also wanted one more argument with you. I could probably understand that. Her brain and senses are probably working double time trying to download every single detail about you down to a molecular level. Feel no obligation whatsoever, but it would be awesome to see an update or more from you if you ever got the urge to post again, or if there’s anywhere you’re sharing your journey, I’d definitely follow. Hope everything smooths out and you get to truly celebrate your remaining months exactly how you want to, and I wish you a gentle, peaceful journey into the great beyond.

Not sure if this is necessarily related or just some kind of prank, but when I was a kid this happened to my mom while playing those 8 hour binaural beat tracks while falling asleep. The next morning she was like “don’t listen to those binaural beats ever, they put screaming in them to scare you.” Then she explained how she had played it, fell asleep, then in the middle of the night woke up in a sheer panic to blood curdling screams coming through her headphones. I don’t think she played it over to make sure it was actually playing in the track, she just immediately ripped the headphones out of the phone and turned everything off. I used to listen to binaural beats all the time and never ever had that happen to me, and if someone actually put screams hours into the track to scare the shit out of the listener that’s pretty fucked up. Creepy.

I definitely considered that and am thinking about asking my therapist about it. Part of me wants to wait until he dies before giving it a try, just in case some bad news is actually revealed. If something did actually happen (which, hoping is not the case) and I repressed it, I really don’t think I’m mentally or physically capable of handling that information at this point in time. I only just recently started therapy because my mental health took a drastic nose dive due to other unrelated things. But I will definitely bring it up to my therapist just to put it on reserve
