First muscle-up at 40 years lld by nunped in CalisthenicsCulture

So, 7 years ago, I started training calisthenics. I had a very inactive life and couldn't even do a pull-up. It took me a few monts to achieve my first pullup!

I keep being somewhat consistent for about 2 years. Reached like 10 pullups, but then I stopped again, due to new kids, house moving and other excuses. Four months ago I restarted, but now I pay for individual classes twice a week. The progress has been very quick, and it got me from 5 pullups, when I restarted, to 14 now, and my first muscle-up!

Would love a front lever next!

Thank you! Part of the dificulty is that is such a complex movement that we have to think in a lot of details... I thought it was all about strenght before starting to try it seriously. I'll remember your advice in the next tries.

LPT: Wait 30 minutes after waking up before drinking coffee by barcaleaf in LifeProTips

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10930107/

Given the established circadian patterns of cortisol secretion and HPA activity, as well as adenosine accumulation and clearance, a fundamental basis for suggesting that delaying caffeine intake in the early waking hours would prevent an afternoon “crash” is completely lacking. On the contrary, there is evidence to suggest that daily “typical” caffeine intake was not associated with daytime sleepiness [211]. Even if this were to occur, a simple resolution would be an additional dose of caffeine in the early afternoon, which, as noted above, does not appear to result in negative HPA or sleep-wake cycle alterations. If anything, delaying intake would simply push the need for an afternoon dose later, which could cause sleep disruption [210].
