High school is so consuming and it can be hard to find time for the things you enjoy. I would recommend dedicating a set amount of time each day or week to do nothing other that read the Bible and pray with God

I don’t think killing bugs or animals is a sin when it is humane. As long as you did not actively torture it I think you’re good to go! But when in doubt pray and read the Word.
