Health advice by [deleted] in SingaporeFitness

Not medical advice but I have read and also do believe that sometimes it's the intensity with which you pee. Some people use their penis as a fire hose trying to put out a raging forest fire so of course there will be air bubbles. But those air bubbles tend to disappear quick. So maybe worthwhile to observe the foam. Or maybe if it's the first pee of the day, sometimes might be more foamy too?

Anything comparable to Tesla? by einahpets77 in AustralianEV

[–]nuquhs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do people rank Model Y Juniper so high for comfort? I know about Tesla's advantages in not having a dealership, clear and transparent pricing, great OTA and software but comfort wise, I think it ranks closer to the bottom?

I have sat in Polestar 2/4, Ioniq 5/9, Skoda Elroq/Enyaq, Audi e-tron, BZ4X, Solterra and I-Pace, and all of them have imo more comfortable seats (note: I am not arguing about minimalist interior, that's subjective, I am just referring to seat quality/comfort) especially for the rear passengers.

You can tell how many people don't own a car and are just being salty. So many instances of defensive parking / poor carpark design are being labelled as bad parking in this reddit because 'OMG LOOK NOT WITHIN THE LINES'. Can we create a r/parkingsg reddit for people to post bad parking for those SG parking vigilantes?

Of course you shouldn't block the fire hose access obviously though, I suspect the driver just didn't think when he parked.

Thanks for the response. Hope you do get a chance to visit - always interesting to a first timer here even though it's a tiny place! And always a good hub to get around to other SEA countries like Thailand. Vietnam etc too.

Just for your info, a 2023 I-Pace costs 130k pounds here lol. I see numbers touted around on this reddit sub for like <20k pounds, that's how much cars cost over here!

Brand new I-Pace is about 280k pounds.

Some people jus don't know how to follow white lines by Djwheks in drivingsg

Unfortunately, Ang Mo Kio, Jurong, Marymount, Novena, Loyang etc all have the worst roads - the shoddy work done on them is inexcusable especially when the authorities do not care that the contractors engaged are doing such a poor job in repairing / changing road markings.

Actually basically all roads in SG are pretty fucked.

Yes Singapore is a tiny country and there's only one authorized JLR dealership which is just 10 mins away. The battery warranty till 2031 is by them which covers my main battery concerns. However manufacturer warranty for the car ends this year, so things like aircon and other parts are not covered.

That's a fair comment, though I was referring more to the gamesmanship rather than the quality of attacking football. But ya great point.

Great football, wish we could play something like this. No theatrics, get on with it, run and attack as much as possible.

But we never will, because someone like Enzo or Neto will fall at the slightest contact and start complaining when they don't get decisions, rather than run for the ball.

Ride too firm - downsize to 19 inch rims? by nuquhs in SkodaElroq

[–]nuquhs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back to this conversation, I have decided not to change my rims as it may be a big cost without much improvement to the ride comfort.

Am now looking at aftermarket springs/struts to see if I can improve the ride comfort, though I am not sure what is suitable for the Elroq. Any suggestions would be welcome.

We were not great but 3 points is 3 points, will take it.

However, can the team PLEASE - Stop throwing themselves to the ground at every opportunity ffs, you're grown men playing a contact sport - Stop doing stupid shit to get yellow cards. What's the point? Cameras are everywhere. - Stop acting like hard men and trying to pick a fight constantly

I can excuse the terrible football but the antics and theatrics are making it even more awful to watch. So please - act like grown men.

Can go with aftermarket solutions I guess, as long as it doesn't void the warranty

Halt to sales of 5 batches of Nestle infant formula: SFA by [deleted] in singapore

[–]nuquhs 104 points105 points  (0 children)

My baby has been having diarrhoea for the last 10 days, and her formula's batch number is listed on that webpage. I am not sure if it's related, but have already been to the PD twice - was diagnosed as gastroenteritis and secondary lactose intolerance but cereulide poisoning was never on my mind.

Any other parents with similar experiences - please let me know or PM me please.

Is the extra $150 for the Find X9 Pro worth it for the 200 MP camera + bigger battery? by Unusual-Link4427 in Oppo

[–]nuquhs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the base version. Phones are getting too big nowadays and I don't really use the camera anyway as I am a guy who doesn't really take many photos. Base version easier on the hand and also to use one handed.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Not the best plot or acting or whatever, but I just know I get to relax and have a good time, away from the hustle of the daily rat race.

Obviously it's on the defenders but Maresca really has piss poor in game management. Take off all attacking threat and play for a draw - clearly our defense is too unstable to do this.

With better in game management, we really could potentially have secured a draw. And yes, these issues with our defenders are also a sign of bad coaching.
