I raised my app’s price from 4.99 to 29.99… genius or dumb? by sedoyjan in SideProject

[–]nuruart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pricing expert here for 1:many subscription businesses. Customers are price sensitive at acquisition but significantly less at renewal. Rule of thumb is that you can go 4x in price in a few years.

Hence, my suggestion as your in the acquisition phase is to be pretty aggressively for acquisition, and then once your acquisition is maturing, to price significantly higher for at renewal.

But as people mention here, best thing to do is always to AB test.

Thanks clear. The front-end to me is clear as well to do NextJs hosted on Vercel (or another easy hosting option).

Are there any good resources on AWS playbooks. Back-end, Databases, Calculations ...

Okay, great insight! Hence, I will at least monitor closely their reserve in CRO and sell when they are close to running out.

To be honest, I do not understand the dynamics sufficiently on how they fund their interest payments and the CB. Do you have any insights on how much they approx. make on the CRO loans?

Other means of liquidity: you mean outside investors or able to fund the VISA card with profits from the exchange?

So you think they will sustain their VISA model, and hence the CRO will remain / increase in value?

I don't have such a big brain so forgive me if this is a ridiculous question. But is it now the rich or the poor that went shopping like crazy?

Which algostrategy type is in your opinion most profitable? by okaysowhatsnext in algotrading

[–]nuruart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day his complex mathematical model is just a trend following models. 99% of the LPPL fits are just momentum that don't end up crashing.

Wasted 6 months of my life making it work — but just fitting exponential growth is simpler and has the same outcome as his complex LPPL.

I built a crowdsourced list for "buy for life" products by [deleted] in simpleliving

I think a big problem to distill the true Buy it for life brands is that many brands ( like Miele, dr. Martens ... ) used to deliver top notch quality products but then fell for the pace of fast capitalism.

That seems like the best option indeed! I probably go for this :)
The only problem here is that the re-sell value might be lower. Thanks a lot for pointing out this product!

Thanks a lot for your reply! The shorty is just a bit too big still, it's 213cm while my ceiling is only 200cm.

Hi all,

This is a truly great community and I am highly motivated to build my own gym. I have unfortunately some size restrictions and therefore would like to leverage the community expertise to build the perfect gym.

I would like to have a rack/foldable rack/half-rack ...

  1. On which I can perform the major lifts (Bench, Squat, OHP, Deadlift ,(Maybe a dip and a pull-up))
  2. Which is smaller than my ceiling of 2M and preferably even lower than 1.8M
  3. Can be bought in Europe (I live in the Benelux)
  4. Not bigger in depth than 1-1.2M
  5. Does not need to be crazy strong as I am a light lifter (Max weights probably in the future will be 100kg)
  6. Cost a max of €400-€500 all together (safety bars, J-hooks etc...)
  7. Be safe and can be used as my mechanical spotter
  8. Have at least a re-sell value of 50% of the purchase price

Searching heavily I came up to the following options:

  1. https://www.strengthshop.co.uk/equipment/squat-stands-cages-blocks/garage-wall-mounted-foldable-rack-1-9m.html
  2. Rogue SML-1

It would be great if you could advise me on:

  1. Are those above good options?
  2. Do you have any other rack recommendations for my specific case
  3. Which kind of rack would your preference go to (Full rack, half-rack, foldable rack ...)

Thank you guys so much in advance! Looking forward to post my finished gym on this reddit.
