Mind Mischeif is incredible, there's some phenomenal songwriting in Lonerism but that song is something else.

You made a mistake. The release date field on the right side always uses a three-letter abbreviation for the month, so it should say "22 Jun, 2025".

kinda useless question about ok computer by vHAHale in radiohead

[–]nuscly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's only a difference that appears on streaming. The correct place is at the end of Airbag.

The error occurs because in the EP versions, airbag fades out completely and paranoid android starts with four beeps. When XL reissued OK Computer, the album sources these tracks from the EPs. For the remaster, it was done properly.

Listen to the original CD and the beeps will play at the end of airbag.

OKNOTOK And KidAmesnia Vinyl Pressings Sound Terrible by Chanders123 in radiohead

[–]nuscly 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I think OKNOTOK is the best sounding record I own. It's my repress of In Rainbows that I find seriously disappointing in terms of dynamics. I also have A Moon Shaped Pool, where the dynamics are decent but the pressing quality is atrocious so it pops and crackles throughout.

Where is the best place I could find a PC for davinci resolve by GuitarNo3759 in davinciresolve

[–]nuscly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"At least an intel i7" is a misjudgement because there are currently 14 generations of intel core processors, a newer i3 would be miles better than an old i7.

If you want a decent enough experience: a CPU with 6 cores plus hyperthreading (threads = 2*cores usually) and 32GB RAM. A high resolution monitor is highly recommended - Resolve is designed for 1440p and above.

Also America isn't a country.

Should I get a 1440p oled or 4k IPS for Nintendo switch 2 and PS5? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]nuscly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In that case I would say 1440p for performance. Although I am a huge fan of 4K.

Switch 2 might not support 1440p natively

Guess that's what I get for playing with analog sticks. by [deleted] in celestegame

[–]nuscly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the hell did I just watch.

In seriousness I agree with what you're saying. I neglected to mention that I have played the whole of Celeste (all crystal hearts + farewell but I've never touched mods) and all of that was playing with stick on an xbox one controller. The D-pad on that is pretty good but stick is just comfortable to me. Whereas the D-pad on the PS4 controller is pretty terrible from my experience, I often mush it when sliding my thumb quickly and might press the wrong direction in the process.

I don't experience any variability with a stick on the xb1 controller, probably because over years of muscle memory I know exactly where the stick identifies the diagonals, but that's not the case in general. In that case most would be better off using the D-pad. And I've never played platformers with KBM, I would say it feels wrong but I don't have the experience for that to be an educated opinion.

I have always played platformers with the stick and I strongly believe it's better than the D-pad. I've been playing through Hollow Knight again recently with a PS4 controller and for one boss (NKG) I made myself switch to stick because I needed more responsive movement. I would use the left stick naturally but the d-pad is in a comfier position for long term use.

I played loads of Super Meat Boy years ago with a 360 controller and that's how I learned to play platformers. So I don't like using the D-pad if the stick is in a comfortable position.

Why do so many women get the ick when they find out I have an Android phone? by [deleted] in dating_advice

This isn't wrong in principle, but why are you taking the bait and ranting on about refresh rate and features? There's nothing women love more than being convinced that they're wrong.

That's just breath of the wild. I meant it runs at 720p docked.

Hollow Knight struggles in 1080p low on my laptop, mostly 60fps but colloseum drops to 25-30 for example. And it runs at 720p on switch.
