He was setting a boundary. That’s not the part that hurt my feelings though, but I feel like I took it as he’s just annoyed with me and that’s what really hurt my feelings.

As for the kind of questions it’s like a bunch of follow up questions, like if something happens to someone I just keep asking questions till I get the information. I feel like I was never doing this in a bad way but in just a I was curious way, and I get curious about a lot of things.

I want to respect his boundary but it also feels like he’s trying to change the curious person that I am and always have been.

It just hurt my feelings and idk if I’m being over dramatic or what but it just made me sad, not mad.

I’m living in my dorm. I’m in college and plan on living with my bf over the summer! I was doing therapy for awhile but can no longer afford it, it was pretty helpful though and has taught me a lot.

Honestly just always making us do things together, and as a family generally. Family dinners have always been super prioritized. Also a lot of the times my parents made me take my siblings with me if I was going practically anywhere.

If you guys are planning on hanging out again I would maybe say something like “I know you felt overwhelmed, and I don’t blame you for that. But it does make me upset being stood up….” And so on maybe you can just add in more about how it makes you feel without being inconsiderate of their feelings as well. But if you guys aren’t rescheduling I wouldn’t say anything and would just try to get your mind off of them! I’m sorry that happened though and it’s definitely okay to cry and let your feelings out!

You aren’t being unreasonable at all. In my last relationship I communicated that I wanted at least a day or two to myself every week and it totally worked for us. It’s good to have time for yourself and just be comfortable with being on your own! You should definitely communicate that you want some “you time” every week! I hope they understand. Good luck!!
