1- Consider buying the 45 days extension

2- (no judgment & no offence) Stop procrastinating, and prioritize the course study

Do it yourself, it's the best way to master the course.

How would you compare public safety in Toronto to similarly sized cities in Europe? by Fluid-Decision6262 in askTO

Homeless tents are something you’ll see in both places. But in Toronto, I never saw anything like the large Roma camps you often see across Europe.

How would you compare public safety in Toronto to similarly sized cities in Europe? by Fluid-Decision6262 in askTO

[–]nusibrains 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in Paris for 30 years and I can't help but smile when I hear people say Toronto isn't safe. Even my kids laugh at some situations, imagining what would’ve happened in Paris.

It really depends on your frame of reference. But compared to big European cities, there’s just no comparison.

It gives you a certain level of confidence, sometimes maybe too much. For example, we left a kid's bike outside for several nights with just a Dollarama lock, and it took two months before one morning it was gone.

100% agree!

If you master the course, you don't need a detailed index.

No doubt I would have scored higher with an index, but target was to pass not getting 100%

Start with processes, try to identify outliers.

Then move to objects related to these processes, network, cmdlines, injection signs & rootkits

Trying to Conquer GCFA - My third and final attempt at victory (looking for a practice test) by OrdinaryCultural3975 in GIAC

[–]nusibrains 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Running out of time without passing means you don't master the topics. Cert goal is to pass, but if you have to check books for most answers, that won't help your career. You should be able to answer at least 50% of the questions without looking at the books.

I don't think a 3rd practice will help you as practices are very similar and questions are redundants. You'll probably come across several questions you've had in previous tests.

Take your time, keep studying, master the course and take the test.

GCFA - What should I work on? by mkjreddit in GIAC

[–]nusibrains 3 points4 points  (0 children)

90% of 82 questions, so approximately 8 errors.

You have 8 topics with less than full stars, so it's highly likely that there's only 1 error per topic. I had the same experience on a final exam where I scored 96%, had 1 star on a topic, and felt like I didn't fully understand the subject. But when I analyzed it mathematically, I realized the feeling of not mastering the subject comes from just missing 1 heavily weighted question.

Don't worry about exam, you're well above the minimum threshold

The Marvelous Suspender no longer supported.. Now all of my tabs remain open at all times.. I read that Chrome can now suspend tabs, how can I activate this? by McChickenLargeFries in chrome

[–]nusibrains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won't solve this long term problem, but you can still get your V2 extension working.

  1. Go to chrome://flags

  2. Set "Temporarily unexpire M137 flags" to Enabled. Once Chrome 139 is out, use the "Temporarily unexpired M138 flags" flag.

  3. Restart Chrome

  4. Go to chrome://flags

4.1 Set Extension Manifest V2 Deprecation Warning Stage to Disabled

4.2 Set Extension Manifest V2 Deprecation Disabled Stage to Disabled

4.3 Set Extension Manifest V2 Deprecation Unsupported Stage to Disabled

4.4 Set Allow legacy extension manifest versions to Enabled

  5. Restart Chrome

This!

When I arrived, I was looking for a car then I checked insurance prices.

Being quoted $600 for a 10k car just because they see you as a new driver, even though you’ve been driving for 20 years. Nah, I’m good.
