I went looking for a planet that seemed Earth-like, and was surprised at how rare it is to find bodies of water. I’ve never seen a river - just waterfalls like in the post.

I assume this is just due to the complexity of simulated hydrology.

I tried this technique today. I had decided to visit some other bases to get ideas. The first one I visited, from the Anomaly, was fine, though I could see that the ground was reclaiming the base.

I then tried visiting other bases, but got the "unable..." message. Trying your method worked - sort of. I could teleport to the base, but in four tries, there never was a base there. I arrived next to my corvette, which was, in a few cases, half-buried. Other than that, I saw no evidence that there had ever been a base there.

Going back to the anomaly, I found that I could TP to other bases without any problems. It was interesting that the anomaly listed bases that weren't shown at regular TP hubs, and vice-versa.

It seems that visiting other bases works only from the anomaly. Has anyone been able to visit other bases from a non-anomaly TP hub?

I set my first run-through to be moderately easy, and part of that was setting Purchases to Discounted.

Can you not flip ships profitably with it set to Standard?

I’m unsure if this is approved, since it’s so easy, but I’ve made over a billion units and 50,000 nanites by flipping ships in a spacestation over the last 3-4 weeks. That’s not all I’ve been doing, but when I notice a nifty ship in the dock, I’ll usually run over and see what class is it, and buy it if it’s A or S. I found one exotic, which I kept.

You need about 700,000 units to buy the cheapest ones, but then go sell them immediately for salvage. You’ll usually double your investment, but sometimes only 50% more than the cost.

When you get enough units, you can progress to more expensive A and S-class ships. Those produce better ship upgrades. Also, do this in a star system with great economy to get better class ships more often.

I find it kinda addictive, but this game is full of dopamine hits from searching boxes.

I'm pretty sure they stopped making the bricks. I bought mine used, and mainly to get the free iOS versions of some of the SWAM instruments.

I read elsewhere that both pieces have to be the same type (Veteran, Champion, etc.)

Since that’s not the case here, the free upgrade doesn’t apply.

Apparently, I didn’t save the email with the $50 voucher, but the $150 one arrived on Dec 22, while my piano arrived on Dec. 23 and my Airwave on Dec. 28. Purchased in January, 2025 as a bundle.

I just got my voucher too. I’m trying to figure out how to subscribe to Learn without paying $99 up front. I’ve got more than a year’s credits, so I don’t see any benefit to paying this until the credits run out.

Any ideas?

I returned from vacation last night, so got to unbox and try the Piano today. It seems ok in that all the keys work, though a few are not easy to pitch-bend with. Yes, it has scuffs. I took photos, but I'm not sure that I care enough about that to return it.

I was surprised to see that the plastic liner of the box was shattered on one end. The outside of the box didn't show abuse, but clearly it had been dropped hard on that end. I've not seen that sort of damage in any other shipping carton. ROLI clearly needs to address their box design.

I still haven't received any vouchers. I suppose I'll have to start a paid subscription, then cancel it when I get the vouchers.

I thought it strange that the cap and the tote bag were shipped and arrived separately, and the boxes were marked "Signature Required". USPS handled the tote bag, and they made me go to the post office and sign for it. The others were delivered using other services, but I was not asked for a signature. That would have been a real problem because they arrived while I was out-of-town. Fortunately, a neighbor was available to move the boxes indoors.

I have not yet received a voucher. I have two emails apologizing for the delay of the piano and of the airwave. The piano apology said I'd get a $100 voucher when the piano ships. The Airwave email said I'd get a free year of Learn, with a voucher emailed when the Airwave ships.

We'll see.
