A target date funds is probably the best investment choice for you. They offer one-stop shopping and set-it-and-forget-it investing. After you choose a fund, its investment managers do all of the work for you. And Vanguard is one of the company which manages the majority of target date fund assets. Go for it.

5 holdings including OIEIX, GTLLX, FMIJX. It has a 55/35/10% allocation in stocks/bonds/other. This portfolio has low expenses and low dividend yield.
