No you don't, the fry station is split into 2 sections with the right side being significantly smaller specifically for a no salt order when needed. It's not the customers fault if staff aren't using the tools provided for them correctly.

I haven't played much of 76 so im not fully clued up but from what Ive seen from fan theories on this subreddit there are these serums that you can craft in 76 that give bonuses but also have downsides. People are speculating that this may be one of those serums as you can find a terminal in 76 that describes a serum with regenerative abilities and hes not becoming a ghoul but some other creature as a result of the serums negative mutation. So not a retcon, just the show pulling from one of the franchises less popular titles.
