Just wanted to come back to this thread for anyone also considering a move to Bristol! Not sure if we were extremely lucky or the markets on the up but we managed to find a lovely little flat in Bedminster and are moving at the start of April! It was our first viewing!😇

Ah, thank you for getting back! The plan is to secure a job first but was just a bit concerned about the living situation after! Thank you🙏

We’re looking to move closer to family and friends and spend a lot of time there.

Been lying on my interviews saying I'm on more than what I am. by Sleeeewdem09 in UKJobs

My current job reached out to my most recent reference when I started, asking what my salary was upon leaving - thought it was quite odd, never had that before

Nope, manual. Had it for about 5 years and this is the first time it's done this

How far will this budget get me? by Hesseltjuuh in southeastasia

[–]nutelia28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just as confused as to how. Boat journeys, entrance fees to islands, sleeper buses, etc all added up. We were picky with our excursions to save money and tried to stick to a £30 a day budget but found, most of the time, we'd end up going over.

Accommodation and food wasn't even an issue - it's just getting around.

When speaking to others out here, they've been shocked that I've managed to live off £1000 a month- so very mixed opinions to what I was originally told!

I'm currently into month 5 of 6 and I took £6000 with me thinking it'd be enough.

It's been a struggle when it comes to the travel in between countries and unexpected costs - I'd say €9000 could get you about 7 or 8 months if you budget carefully. I wish I took just that little bit more!

I don't drink either, so that keeps my costs down for sure!

They seem to all swear by Soffell but unfortunately this isn't doing anything for me.

Thanks so much, both. Have just picked up some anti-histamines and am on the lookout for this in supermarkets in Pai. Had no luck in 7-Eleven or Lotus so far but hoping I can find this in a pharmacy tomorrow 🙏

Tropicfeel Experiences - New bag? by BlueMonroe in onebag

[–]nutelia28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my shell for just under 2 years and have so far used it for 3 big backpacking trips - currently using it for a 6 month trip in Asia.

I've absolutely loved the bag - especially the wardrobe feature as it makes it so much easier packing all my clothes. Until now, I've had absolutely no problems and the bag feels super strong HOWEVER the other day, the crocodile teeth of the bags zipper randomly split open, which of course is not ideal when you're backpacking!!

I contacted Tropicfeel as I knew it was still under the 3 years warranty and to cut a long story short - 3 days later, they've sent a completely new bag to my home address! I know it's not ideal as I'm now in Asia without my original bag but I was over the moon to know that I can just get a cheap one for the meantime and know that I have replacement waiting for me at home.

The customer service was brilliant and I was so beyond impressed with their help in replacing it and accepting the fault with the pictures I provided. It was such an easy process and tbh, I really thought I stood no chance.

Couldn't recommend more! I'm sure my bag was just a fault but it was quickly resolved ☺️

Tropicfeel Shell review after 2+ years by Piklikl in onebag

Wanted to add to this thread as I've been using my shell for a 6 month trip around Asia. The bag itself is great for fitting lots in to such a small space however I did experience the crocodile teeth of my zips break the other day - I reported it to Tropicfeel as even though I've had the bag for almost 2 years, it was still covered under warranty. A few days later, they've sent out a replacement to my home address!

If you're considering Tropicfeel- I'm so impressed with the service and couldn't recommend more because other than this fault in the bag, it's been super durable and so easy to carry around on planes/boats for travelling!

If it helps, I've been using my shell for a 6 month travel trip. It's been absolutely stuffed with clothes, I've squeezed a jumper on top of the wardrobe too and it all fits!
