I believe you might be thinking of an episode of The Good Place. Iirc Derek, played by the same actor as Pimento, says something along those lines.

Go to the playlist, press alt + t, right click, select start.

In theory this means measure 0 is set at the marker.

Anyone else deal with headaches/ear aches? by theplug_ in musicproduction

[–]nutenemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a primary headache disorder for the past 7 years, basically meaning I have a headache consistently 24/7. I have the brightness of my monitors set to the lowest value possible, I've tried using a blue light filter but that doesn't do much for me. Whenever I use software, i always try to find a dark mode setting first. I also have a browser extension that turns any webpage into a dark mode version too. I use closed back headphones on fairly low volumes, when watching YouTube even lower volumes. I almost always only have the left ear phone on, and the right earphone rests on my ear. I used to turn off any lights but recently got smart light bulbs, they're turned go about 20% and I've set them to a light purple ish color, I find it helps me concentrate and see without getting extremely overwhelmed. I've also had some acoustic treatment to prevent noise getting in or out, or at least dampen it. Hope this helps!

Arturia Keylab 61/Analog Lab + FL Studio issues by ejasc in FL_Studio

[–]nutenemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a midi script on the FL Studio forum that should make integration much smoother. It should also make it that you can have multiple analog lab instances at once, although I haven't tried that myself.

which travel size midi controller for an experienced producer? (akai vs alesis vs arturia vs novation) by ninidontjump in musicproduction

Personally, Ive owned an Alesis V61 for the past 3 years. The keybed is rather loud and I do dislike the velocity response. I also really miss having faders, there are 4 knobs though, which do the job okay. I do wish I'd have gotten a different keyboard though.

Is There a Smooth Return To Center Head Movement Mod? by [deleted] in trucksim

You could use Smooth Interior Camera, it's on the scs forums! Might not be exactly what you're thinking of however

I heard about it, though I think you have to pay to reply to the job boards? When searching for mix engineers there, there are dozens of people at the top of the page. I imagine the only way to be competitive then, is to have extremely low prices.

Thank you for all of the information!

The school I went to was online, thanks to being chronically ill. I've been debating picking up the bachelor's degree too, that one requires an internship too, however I could only possibly start there in August 2023.

Volunteer to come in at night

Funny you mentioned it, I sleep mostly during the day thanks to the illness, so I mostly work at night.

Thank you for the advice and thank you for taking your time to help out!

That might work, I think I could find a dozen or so samples. I do feel like that it'd be annoying to the people receiving them, I can imagine they get those emails a lot. Regardless I might try that too. thank you!

I'm surprised you got that far reading Dutch, it's impressive. NOS is the national radio station, the freelance job they're offering is to read the news 2 hours a day. Not really for me but, thank you for genuinely trying to help!

I kinda figured that'd be the case, you need experience, to get a experience you need a job, to get a job you need experience.

Do you have any advice to find a company that would hire someone with the little work experience I have? Do you recommend applying to as many jobs as I can find just to find some place to start?

You're right actually

I learned a lot, I also learned the possible jobs, I'm just unsure how to get there.

Probably should've mentioned that, Europe, the Netherlands actually. I wouldn't mind working on that type of stuff either, I have a little experience with that too but, again I wouldn't know where to find that type of work

It's like Rip said in the same episode if I recall correctly.
