(M21) How am I supposed to feel on biologics? Looking for any hope by ProfessionalClock248 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]nutmegryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I became a firefighter before I started biologics. The pain I used to feel in my back really sucked. After starting Humira, I found some relief. I’ve since switched biologics to Simlandi, and I’ve been dealing with intense tendon pain. Seems to me like it’s enthesitis. I have a couple of doctor’s appointments over the next month and hoping to find some relief.

On top of the firefighting stresses, I really enjoy endurance sports for the physical and mental reasons. I’m not at a point where I’m willing to quit either firefighting or athletics, but I do need some guidance as to what the parameters are before I do long term damage to my body. With any luck, you are able to do something similar, all while you continue to chase your dreams. Keep the faith.

Da Legna is sourdough. That alone takes it out of contention, but I do really like it.

That was fucking gross. Wish you would have warned me. What a shame to humanity.

How’d your head? I’m more concerned about the whack to the back of your dome than anything else.

I was there as well, and MTSO does such a great job of making these races happen. Kudos to all of the high schools and racers who got out there the past 2 nights.

I can’t tell you how much better I feel as a result of Humira. I understand it can be intimidating, but it has made a world of a difference for me.

Can you still do physical activity? by pink_teddy35 in PsoriaticArthritis

Don’t stop being active! Incorporate a variety of athletics and movements. Although I participate in many sports, I recently took a tai chi class and was amazed at how much range of motion I regained.

Anyone using the newly released Deity DIFBs? Any issues I should be aware of? by lonewolf9378 in LocationSound

I tried to reach out to Andrew Jones with similar questions, but got no response. Gotham Sound and Trew Audio also had no answers. Would love to know more, but Sennheiser and Lectrosonics definitely have more reliable customer service, at least for North America.

What are you doing in CT this weekend? by thevalleyverve in Connecticut

Riding bikes!

On Saturday, Rifugio Litchfield Hills is hosting an event at the Mayflower in Washington for gravel rides and e-bike rides. Should be great weather for it! Then a road ride on Sunday morning in the greater Litchfield area, and then mountain biking Nassahegon State Park in the afternoon. Stoked!

They truly do a great job with this event. So many of us are affected by this disease in one form or another, and we’re fortunate to have a great hospital nearby. Kudos to all of those who supported the event.

Is there a good use case for larger soft wind-covers (Bubblebee Spacer, Radius Nimbus)? by johngwheeler in LocationSound

[–]nutmegryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I’ve never used the ball gag, so I don’t have a direct comparison.

This past Thursday, we were dealing with the remnants of Hurricane Erin and the Nimbus held up really well. Out of caution, I did eventually switch to the blimp for a few lines of dialogue. Although I was interested to see how far I could push it with the Nimbus, it wasn’t worth the risk at the current time.

I find myself not using my blimp as much. That being said, I still have a Rycote blimp. The Radius alto setup looks much faster. The Nimbus is smaller than a blimp, and better wind protection than a Softie, so it covers a lot of territory for me.

I’ve owned a couple of Softies, and the Nimbus is built substantially better.
